irishtimes1 Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Does any one know of a good pub where they sell a decent pint and reasonable price 1
buddyy Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 First of all im no expert, but im a big fan of Guinness. For my taste, Viva Cafe at suk soi 8 is always good. 1 1 1
Popular Post sipi Posted May 4, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2024 The Irish Clock in Udon Thani. Except it isn't in Bangkok, and I'm not sure Guinness is on tap any more. Otherwise a great place to hang out. 1 1 2
Liverpool Lou Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Viva, Sukhumvit Soi 8; The Sportsman, Soi 13; Breakers Live, Soi 13; O'shea's, The Robin Hood and The Royal Oak in Soi 31/1 and a place directly opposite 7-Heaven in a small sub-soi off Soi 33 for starters. In terms of quality, as they all come from the same place and sell out very quickly, there's practically no difference. I'd guess that all the other places that have it are much the same, the biggest difference being the type of place that you're looking for.
Prubangboy Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Just had a good 'un at The Robin Hood, along with an exemplary burger with onion rings done right in fish and chips batter. 600 baht all in. The pint was 300 baht. They have a lower cost stout option too, but I drink so seldom, so I treated myself.

torturedsole Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 The Black Swan on Sukumvit Soi 19. Used to be located on Sukumvit Road but moved not so long ago.

On Paddy's day the Soi 8 pub had it on special at 200.

saintdomingo Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 No they were in Soi 19 long before covid. When did the English (Sheffield) fella sell it.?
FruitPudding Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Does anywhere do a happy hour price for Guinness, or is it generally not include in the happy hours?

Hummin Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Shenigans Silom Wherever you go in Thailand They are lousy to pour beer the correct way, even they know how to do it.
FruitPudding Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Chequers and Blarney Stone get excellent reviews of how good the Guinness is.
FruitPudding Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Red Lion seems to do Guinness on Happy Hour for 249, I think, and their pints of lager are usually up to a good standard.
FruitPudding Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Do you guys think Guinness is healthier than Thai/Asian lagers? I often wonder whats in Chang or Leo, for example 🤔

Nice pour of Guinness (290 thb/pint during Happy Hour) plus Kilkenny, Paulaner, and about 30 other beers on tap. Recommended.
