Hello,

My 30-day “Visa Exempt” period finishes on Saturday, 25/05/2024.

Below is a summary of my movements and actions in and out of Thailand since 04/11/2023.

1.  Arrived from Australia on a 30-day visa-exempt stamp, covering 04/11/2023 – 03/12/2023.

2.  Extended the above stay by 30 days in Surat Thani, covering 04/12/2023 – 02/01/2024.

3.  Applied for a 60-day extension “based upon marriage to my Thai wife” in Surat Thani, covering 03/01/2024 – 02/03/2024.

4.  Return travelled from Ranong to Myanmar to secure a 30-day visa-exempt stamp, covering 29/02/2024 – 29/03/2024.

5.  Extended the above stay by 30 days in Rayong, covering 30/03/2024 – 28/04/2024.

6.  Return air-travelled from Bangkok to Phnom Penh to secure a 30-day visa-exempt stamp, covering 26/04/2024 – 25/05/2024.

Upon returning from Phnom Penh and passing through Immigration at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 26/04/2024, I was detained by an Immigration officer.

She told me I had used too many short-term entries and that I would have trouble re-entering the country again if I tried using a similar approach.

I am currently waiting for a Non-Immigrant B Visa to be processed, which could take up to another 4 weeks.

Meaning it “should” be ready by mid-June or maybe late June at the latest...

Could you please advise me on what options I have to extend my stay here until (hopefully) 24/06/2024?

Would using an agent get me the desired result I require and how much might that cost?

Where would such an agent be sourced?

Thank you in advance.

Same as before, a 30-day extension for your visa exempt entry and/or a 60-day extension to visit your wife.

That way you won't need to leave and re-enter Thailand until you can apply for your non-immigrant visa.

You could put 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account in your name, 2 months before Appling for a marriage extension (1,900b). You can take it out once your extension has been approved, but that is stating the bloody obvious.

You can apply for a 60-day extension to visit Thai spouse every entry.

You can apply for a further 30 day extension, followed by a further 60 day extension to visit Thai spouse, that will take you through until late middle of August
