So send them back where? And you failed to notice that the Farangs caused this brawl. Stupidity got it's price. No mercy! And you failed to understand that the reaction for whatever caused it was a massive over-reaction, which as I write might have resulted in murder. But go on - support the thugs. That says a lot about you, and many others who have blamed the victims of a vicious assault. 5 1

You should always have control, and never drink more than you can maintain your control. People that say they can´t have fun without being drunk have no clue about how life works. Ok, you do not have to understand culture and ways after only 14 days. However, you must be as smart as you understand how to not escalate a problem instead of screaming, acting aggressive and asking for a fight. That has actually not anything with culture to do. Just common sense, that these guys seem to have a severe lack of. I do not need to repeat that I am not condoning what the guards did. I already explained that. So you in your however many years of life have never got so drunk that you do stupid uncontrolled things? Not having a dig at you, but drunk or not, the security guards (thugs) are 100% in the wrong as a huge part of their job is to deal with drunk people and de-escalate the situation. Even if the person being dealt with is screaming and being aggressive. de-escalate not make it worse. Come to Thailand for a good time - that is the message being sent out by TAT around the world. 4

Singapore nightlife is so much tamer than Thailand so undesirables aren’t attracted to them. Moreover Singapore policing is so much more proactive ( especially in geylang red light areas) . The guards have admitted their involvement in the incident. Ball claimed he was initially assaulted by a tourist, which led to injuries requiring medical attention. Despite this alleged provocation, the guards’ actions have been widely criticised as excessive, particularly since one guard was seen kicking a tourist in the head as he lay on the ground after being beaten. Surely the author of this article watched the cctv which shows the bolded part to be a complete lie. Cctv clearly shows "Mr Ball" throwing the first punch and to mention he needed medical attention is a joke after his kicking of an unconscious man in the head (whereby no-one seems to know his victims medical condition) 1 6

The news readers did condemn the attack , moreso than I expected to be honest 3 3

Yes. I saw that, too. Very unfortunate. Those three Farang did not realize where they were. They had no idea about Asia, or Thailand, or face, or the fact that Asians never back down once they reach some Tipping-Point, where face is lost. Then, in the street, the guard gets hit in the nose, and damaged, in front of all his friends, when/where he wants to be perceived as the tough guy. Then, some "girl" brings him a tissue to staunch the blood gushing from his nose. Another major loss of face. Then, it was pay-back time, BIG TIME..... Bars such as those are dangerous. Anything can happen, suddenly, and it did. 1 3 1

Nothing can call for the way the gourds were acting, as they should have the training and mentality to handle things without violence or only subdue people if necessary until police arrives. I have never contested that. So, now you can stop with the verbal assault, by calling my out to be an absolute idiot. But, yes, I knew, but not defending the outcome, that the Brits did not accept the way and culture, as they started to point and one actually wanted to fight with the guards. They walked around showing anger in public and where screaming. Basically doing everything to escalate the problem. They should have asked the bar to call the cops or continued to keep the argument and discussion on a decent level. Have you seen anywhere that states they are actually British? I have only seen them referred to as tourists or customers. 1 1
