Not having a dig at you, but drunk or not, the security guards (thugs) are 100% in the wrong as a huge part of their job is to deal with drunk people and de-escalate the situation.  Even if the person being dealt with is screaming and being aggressive. de-escalate not make it worse. Come to Thailand for a good time - that is the message being sent out by TAT around the world.

These thugs are not security guards or bouncers, just wrongun's     trouble makers earning a bit of cash in hand and just waiting for an opportunity to kick off.  The Thais refer to them as Nak Raeng   its not a compliment

They are keeping very tight lipped about his condition, Had he made a full recovery it would have been mentioned as part of the PR clean up , but the silence is indeed deafening,  I fear the worst and at the very least I expect him to be seriously injured

I just saw it on the lunchtime news  the 3 thugs apologised to Muang Pattaya with a wai as another member posted earlier. The news readers did condemn the attack , moreso than I expected to be honest

But, yes, I knew, but not defending the outcome, that the Brits did not accept the way and culture, as they started to point and one actually wanted to fight with the guards. They walked around showing anger in public and where screaming. Basically doing everything to escalate the problem. They should have asked the bar to call the cops or continued to keep the argument and discussion on a decent level.

Have you seen anywhere that states they are actually British? I have only seen them referred to as tourists or customers.
