LOL are you kidding?  Nobody notices a little head-kicking.  In the USA this is just how the police say good morning.  Yeee haw!

press charges against the head kicker

i presume you are only referring to bloodnose goon attempted coup de grace even though video appears to show both tourists getting kicked when down by all 3 goons combined.

Oh look boy's two drunk tourists. Come on lads  lets kick the crap out of them put him down so i can kick his face and head in. Watch he doesn't get up i don't want a punch. A serious question when are the tourist Police going to check Door staff and security that are vetted instead of paid thugs that a bar pays for. Have these thugs been told to stop working or are they still working back in Soi Six ?

You need to have a look at the video I referenced: Again, the bills were paid up and he was standing out in front of the bar alone. Again (see video ) at this point he could have walked away. Instead he walked up into the bar continuing his aggression and challenges the security guard. This then resulted in all piling out into the street fighting. No- security is not expected to "wave him away" As I said before... The brit asked for a fight. And as I also said before the kick was criminal act

Right got it.  So if any drunken idiot decides to ask security for a fight over here then security has to fight and throw the first punch instead of just saying no and telling the drunken idiot to move along.  Rules of engagement must be different over here.   Guess it's just as well they don't carry guns I suppose.

Something like that. And am assuming you are not located here, and have little if any contact with the local males here. As evidenced by your naive comments: It's bad enough just being around and putting up with these local males in every day situations. But to be aggressive and waving arms in their face ?????. Let me give you a clue Lou. Don't look at them , don't talk to them and don't listen to them

As noted in the article "Pattaya police are continuing their investigation, and additional charges may be filed against the perpetrators. It is unclear at this point if the victims will face any counter charges such as for reportedly shoving another customer out of the bar or allegedly breaking the nose of one of the guards."

Don't be suprised if these tourists end up in trouble over this. The video from inside the bar seems to show that they probably have to answer for starting this violence.

I think they'll call it even and no charges for either.

That kick did surprisingly little damage. I think the Thai pulled it.

Or white shirt has nothing inside his skull to damage, which would explain his aggressive behaviour in the bar

How and in what way does your post address what I wrote? Maybe you didn't understand that if drinks are paid for as they are delivered then there would have been no-one not paying and disputing the bill and asking for a fight. Somehow, you managed to miss the entire point of my post. I find that extraordinary.

That suggestion comes up frequently, and is cited as a way of keeping an eye on things.....I have never thought it practical or necessary, certainly with the modern POS systems many bars use. It is also a waste of staff resources.

If a customer choses to do things that way,  it is his choice and no issue... but I would prefer to keep running a tab when out.

Okay. The rest of the world has it wrong, as staff collecting payment is a waste of resources.

It doesn't happen in the' rest of the world'... many many other places allow tabs to be run up......every restaurant for example! Stop being disingenuous. Easier for staff to collect once, rather than several times.

I've been to 35 countries and never found the build up a bill you might be unable to pay system. The nearest is Dubai, where I am asked when I order my first drink if I'll be ordering more, and if so they start a cc tab in their system. Otherwise I pay there and then. And this is about bars, not restaurants. Would you expect to be charged for each course as it came? Of course not. That's an entirely different environment. Some do get drunk in bars, some do lose track of what they are spending. Not so in restaurants.

If staff can't be motivated or can't be bothered to collect money for drinks served then perhaps they are in the wrong business. Not taking money takes laziness to an extreme. I mean, it's so hard, isn't it.

Should be up for assault with a deadly weapon!

Bryce, who sustained bruises on his face and head and abrasions on his body, informed the police that the incident occurred on his birthday. He and his two friends had gone to the establishment around noon to celebrate. A dispute over the drink bill escalated into a physical altercation, leading to the violent incident captured in the video.

After providing his statement, Bryce filed a formal complaint with the investigators against the security guards. His friend, however, chose not to file a complaint out of concern for his safety in Pattaya. The investigators charged the guards with operating as unlicensed security personnel, which carries a penalty of up to three months in prison, a fine of up to 5,000 baht, or both. Additional charges of physical assault are also being pursued.

It was further revealed that the group of guards involved in the incident were self-organized and untrained by any official company or agency, nor were they officially employed by any establishment. This contravenes government policies, and the police are continuing their investigation into the group. Any further violations will result in additional charges.

there are many violations to be acted upon not the least of them being those who were paying these goons.

So if a formal police complaint was all they were waiting for to make arrests why has it been 3 days since the formal complaint was made and no arrests?

It takes less than 5 minutes to review the cctv tape that went viral all round the world. It clearly showed security guard threw the first punch, used knuckle dusters and planted a run up kick to the head of an unconscious man...why the delay?

Note: people claiming brits were the aggressor by pushing guards is not assault in my book, who threw the first punch has always been the one who started the assualt

"The video will not be shared in this article as it may offend sensitive viewers."

So let me get this straight, someone willingly went on the internet and instead of clicking on their usual pornhub link or something else much worse, clicked on this headline through their own free will. Naturally the website feels the need to protect these oh so sensitive delicate flower internet people from being offended and running for the fainting couch?

And since the Brit threw the first punch, as you been previously informed but can't remember, he was the aggressor, according to your own logic. The pushing and verbal challenges also fall into the aggression category.

Watch the video inside the bar. The Thai guards were threatening with clenched fists. Clearly they wanted some action.

I have been to quite a few.....  happy not to have to get up and go to a bar as I would in the UK.

Paying after each drink just gives them more opportunity to short change you! The other factor in Thailand is they seem to only trust a single person to be a cashier, and that is rather a bottle neck.

Go watch the video again. White shirt guy broke  the guards nose in the street after he was already hit with knuckle dusters. All that school boy shoving inside the bar had no punches thrown

Cctv clearly shows guard with no nose blood until he was punched in the street after he laid the first punch

Nose blood is one issue. But

Pattaya, Thailand – In a viral incident that has made international headlines and drove significant speculation and discussion online, a group of independent contracted guards brutally assaulted British tourists after a furious dispute over a bill on the bustling Soi 6 Pattaya over the past weekend. The attack raised serious concerns about safety and tarnished the family friendly image of the popular tourist destination, according to Pattaya Police.

In the early evening of May 24th, 2024, a confrontation erupted between foreign tourists and a group of contracted security guards overseeing independent local bars on Soi Six as we reported here.

The altercation, which began as a dispute over a bill in a bar in which the victims appear to become aggressive and confrontational with bar staff and security, even with one foreign man shoving another customer out of the bar at one point who appeared to be trying to calm the situation down, escalated into physical violence, leaving the victims battered and bruised. The incident was captured on video, sparking outrage and condemnation.

The video will not be shared in this article as it may offend sensitive viewers.

In particular, footage of one guard violently kicking a tourist in the head while already lying on the ground having been beaten, caused outrage and made headlines across the globe. The guard claimed the victim attacked him first, breaking his nose on the street, which started the fight.

Some speculated that the man was seriously injured, in a coma, or deceased, but none of that was correct as the victim told Pattaya Police today he had managed to walk away mostly uninjured from the incident and return to his hotel.

In fact, the man involved said he even went back out drinking the same night on Walking Street.

Did they find the bar tabs more palatable there?

How many people still believe this obvious lie, that the foreigners started a fight over a legitimate bar tab?  How naive must one be to believe something that is so obviously untrue, or how great of an anti-foreigner hatred must one carry to so distort one's perception of reality?

Heaven knows..... usually there is at least one person at least embellishing the truth, and some more telling outright lies. Some folks think the bell is there for fun!
