June 7, 20241 yr Popular Post I have only seen Ibuprofen 400mg in Thai pharmacies. However, Paracetamol 500 mg appears standard in Thailand. One can purchase a pill cutter at most pharmacies to cut a 400 mg pill in half.

June 7, 20241 yr Ibuprofen can be bought at any pharmacy 400mg dose is more common but I have bought 200mg strength also. May have to shop around a bit for it.

June 7, 20241 yr Interesting. I normally purchase 400 mg soft gel Ibuprofen, but about every 3rd time I drop by my pharmacy to purchase medicine, they'll grab the 200 mg pills instead. I know that the 200 mg is pretty standard in Thailand.

This and related medications does have potential for serious adverse effects (especially if used often) so prudent to take the lowest effective dose.

But unnecessary just for ibuprofen. Ibuprofen often comes as enterically coated tablet or capsule so usually not advisable to break in half. Normal adult dose is 200-400 mg at a time.

June 7, 20241 yr I know in Oz several companies produce a 500mg Para/200mg Ibuprofen tablet or capsule. You just take 1 at a time instead of 2. Works better than some of the stronger stuff on my recurring back pain. I BYO to Thailand so have never looked for it.
