Tolls on Don Mueang Expressway to Increase by 5-10 Baht from December 22

The toll rates on the Don Muang Tollway will be going up by 5-10 baht starting December 22nd, said CEO Sombath Phanichewa. This increase is part of their agreement with the Highways Department, which allows for an adjustment in tolls every five years. The agreement is valid until September 12, 2034.

Mint Producing Special Banknotes to Celebrate King's Sixth Cycle Birthday Anniversary

The Bank of Thailand will release ten million special 100-baht banknotes to celebrate the King's 72nd birthday on July 28. These notes will be available from July 23. The banknotes' design is different from others in circulation in Thailand since they have a portrait layout instead of the usual landscape one. This unique design was revealed by the Bank of Thailand's Governor, Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput. They have been printed using advanced technology on a polymer material, which is durable and hard to forge.
