A brave motorcyclist pursued a pickup driver who had hit a parked motorbike and ran off without acknowledging the incident. The courage displayed by the motorcyclist captivated locals and earned him a reward for his actions.

CCTV footage from Praewa Gift Shop in Thang Kwian Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong, recorded the incident happening on July 2 at around 1pm. A motorcyclist witnessed a truck hit a parked blue motorbike and run away. The unidentified rider chased the truck, compelling the driver to return and accept the damage caused, which reaped praises from the residents.

The footage displays the rider, outfitted in an orange shirt, ready to vacate the shop. As he was moving his bike, a nearby parked pickup moved and knocked over a blue motorbike in front of the shop. He quickly honked and chased the pickup, insisting the driver return and face the responsibility for the damage caused.

In response to the driver’s apparent disregard for the breakage caused, locals aired their annoyance. After the event, shopkeepers in conjunction with locals launched a search to find and reward the brave rider at the gift shop.

Saipin Hemwirachai, the 59-year-old owner of Praewa Gift Shop, offered a cash reward to the rider for his good citizenship act. She commended the rider, describing him as an individual with a friendly disposition and a communal mindset.

Upon receiving the cash reward, the rider, known as Thanaphon Jitthiang, shared his side of the story. He stated that after he witnessed the pickup hit the bike, he was obliged to act, given that the motorbike would likely be damaged. He quickly gave chase to the truck and informed the driver about the accident, which provoked the driver to return to the scene and accept the liability.

Thanaphon Jitthiang, 30-year-old delivery rider and local bakery owner, expressed his daily activities and revealed how he spent the reward given to him by the gift shop owner. He shared the reward drinks with his fellow riders as a small celebration of the day's event.

Quite courageous. Would be great if more people got involved and caused the goons to lose face and take responsibility for their actions.

Whats with the pic of a damaged car, was Ai unable to find a pic of a damaged bike ?

Can afford a truck but not the 500 baht plastic piece from the scooter.  Not sure the quality but I would assume any plastic part can easily be replaced for next to nothing if the prices on Lazada are a close representation.

Hmmm...  🤔  I think the AI has become a little confused in trying to paraphrase "hit and run".

But where does this car come into the storey, neither a motorbike or pick up

No doubt a certain drunk driver on here will be horrified at this and be calling this guy a SNITCH.

Maybe if the driver had been drunk he would have been more attentive and not hit the motorbike.
