I love riding the old farmer roads around where I live. Love it too much to want to load up the bike in the back of the truck and drive somewhere else. Good luck finding a riding buddy and have a great ride.

good advice Tayto ,

unfortunately active biker Jozef is no longer present there , since he has returned to Belgium with his son, but i am sure Sherry can help you in finding other bikers

ask for Steve or Thorleif

some regulars more like to talk about biking , but maybe they surprise me on my return in a few months

looking forward for a ride

ps : don ' t miss the doi thung event in a few months , anybody an exact date ?

Anyone any info on where to buy a decent mountain bike?

The two best bike shops in CR (IMHO :o ) are Fat Free and Northern Bike. Fat Free is in central CR, not too far north of the Night Bazaar. Northern Bike is about 1.5 km north of the big bridge on the main highway (on the left side) going north out of CR.

Let me know if you'd like more details about how to get to either one.

Happy trails...

Beautiful photo of dirt road in the hills. We love biking. I plan to ship my road bikes when we relocate to cruise around the villages in our area, although I may put heftier wheels on. Can you get a decent mountain bike in CR for off-road rides? Or should I bring from the states?

I bought my Trek locally but I have no idea what you might consider a “decent mountain bike” so I don’t know how to answer. If you are into 29ers or something specific then perhaps you should bring your own.
