Sounds like you want to regulate peoples thoughts?  I'm sure I read a book that covered this kind of thing.   So long as its legal speech (X does not allow illegal speech) then what is the problem?

It doesn't sound anything of the sort.

I made no comment about the users of social media or any suggesting that users should be regulated; it is surely obvious that I was referring to the concentration of the control of influential media platforms in a very small pool of unregulated hands.

Yawn.. Doxxing is not allowed.   Get over it.

**Reason:** Several accounts associated with the Antifa movement were banned. Musk has positioned himself as strongly opposed to the Antifa movement, which he has criticized as being violent and extremist......doxing?

"Owner of X? WHAITE!!!!!"

Extremist, violent groups such as antifa are not allowed.  Again, get over it.

England has enough hate at the moment, what with all those dullards smashing up branches of Greggs, hurling bricks at police officers and stealing bath bombs from Lush, all because the thickest of the thick have been played, yet again, by right wing snake oil salesmen.

But don't worry about Scotland, Jonny - we saw Brexit for the lies it was, we see the tories/Reform/Yaxley Lennon for the corrupt liars they are, and we haven't started smashing up our towns because of reasons we are unable to articulate. I think we will  be fine - we will just continue to look south and shake our heads, sadly, yet again.

Scotland is 95% white so it is very easy to take the high road when the consequences of mass uncontrolled immigration are not on the doorstep.   Not even the dinghy people want to go there.

What a happened to the Holy Grail of free speech?

It died on the altar of...... oh no...don't like that.

Antifa are a violent and dangerous group, which is a very different thing to free speech isn't it now?

If you want to see what these violent idiots are thinking I am sure you can still find them in a dark corner of the internet.

Antifa not violent or dangerous.  Seriously?

https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/E-9-2022-000144_EN.html

"Recently it came to light that Antifa had drawn up a ‘death list’ containing 53 politicians from the right-wing AfD party, together with instructions on how to make bombs. Another popular technique is ‘doxing’, whereby the private details of politicians are released and their members are called on to carry out certain acts."

Is this the kind of information you believe should be allowed to be spread on social media then?

Nice try........this was a question asked by Tom Vandendriessche, a member of the right-wing Vlaams Blok and Vlaams Blok Jongeren....not a statement of fact by the EU parliament......

Very poor.

3. Legal and Political Status:

In the United States, ANTIFA is not classified as a violent or dangerous group or a  terrorist organization or formally recognized as a group by the government.

Of course not, why would radical left classify their friends as terrorists.

Political Career

[edit]

Involved in the political Flemish movement since his youth, Vandendriessche became a member of the right-wing Vlaams Blok and Vlaams Blok Jongeren. In 2016 he became spokesman and press attaché for the Europe of Nations and Freedom group in the European Parliament. In 2019, he was elected MEP for his party, Vlaams Belang, winning 69.000 preference votes, taking over from Patsy Vatlet who chose not to take up her mandate as MEP.[3] Since 2020 Vandendriessche is also part of the party bureau of Vlaams Belang. Vandendriessche was re-elected as MEP in June of 2024, almost quadrupling his score by winning 318.151 preferential votes. Following the june 2024 European election, he took over the role of head of the Vlaams Belang-delegation in the European Parliament, which is a member of the Patriots for Europe.

So you do agree with limiting free speech.

I agree with the US version of free speech.   Is distributing instructions of how to make bombs with the intent to assassinate someone you disagree with politically covered in the US free speech constitution as free speech or is it a crime?

Antifa are banned from X as they do not abide by the T&Cs of the platform.   You can still find them in a dark hole of the internet if you wish to engage with them and their fascistic tendencies.

Just as Trump was banned from Facebook because he didn't abide by the T&C's.

Get your facts right, there has been no Vlaams Blok party in Belgium for the past 20 years. There was no Antifa group 20 years ago, so how can a Vlaams Blok have made a comment on a group that didn't exist?
