Picture - suspect being detained by Police

The early hours of August 11, local police received a distress call from a kuwait tourist, that a Thai man, had  brandished a gun and shouting threats at tourists, causing significant fear among tourists and locals, on Soi Yensabai.

Police  arrived and swiftly initiated an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage to track down the suspect based on the provided description and identified Mr. Natthaphan, as the suspect.

The police successfully located the man on Soi Korpai in South Pattaya, and upon searching him, discovered two firearms in his possession, a .38 caliber revolver and a 9mm blank gun, which the suspect confessed to owning, but then claimed they had been entrusted to him by someone else.

He claimed his anger toward the Kuwaiti tourists was driven by the recent incident regarding an altercation between a large group of Kuwaiti tourists and Thai men, last week, and he had no intention of causing anyone harm, but just wanted to scare them.

However, the authorities were skeptical of his explanation and proceeded to arrest him for further investigation and legal proceedings.

It seems you have had experiance of Kuwaiti people in Thailand.

Or are you just speculating from reports on the media?

If you pull a gun and not actually shoot it, don't be surprised when someone either takes the gun from you, or beats you to death.

That´s correct. I always anticipate that 90% of all showing a gun is not ready or strong enough to use it. They just need it as a dick solid pathetic reason. It usually takes 20 seconds to define that person.

I have experienced Kuwaiti people in Thailand, Sweden and bigger part of EU. @KhunBENQ is totally solid with his argument.

What experience do you have?

Be that as it may, if you hear about some people of a certain nationality behaving badly, and then go and threaten random people of that same nationality with a gun, wishing to get some sort of revenge on "one of them", you're a racist psychopath.

I have had a number of Kuwaiti guests and found them very ok.

It's one thing to target a nationality.  It's another to target people who are misbehaving, and they turn out to be of a specific nationality.

The guy's a liar,  an idiot and a troublemaker ... he should be in prison,  he'd fit in well there.

And this sounds like the former, so...

There were a lot of motor bikes in the video.  The gunman was clearly identifiable.

Well he succeeded in that.

A dead friend ? So obviously he can't be trusted. Lock him up  for 2 years no ifs or buts.

Come on Government get your act together, mandatory sentencing please.

Why does Thailand's tourist scene just attract scum from all corners of the country?

be cause Thailand's tourist scene is chaotic unregulated mess of corruption and criminal activity. that is an essence of thai tourism: from snake oil "magic cures" to Walking street and damaged boats.
