August 22, 20241 yr Looking at a period in time from the 1960s to today I would say the nightlife was the most fun during the 1970s and early 1980s. Great music in the bars, girls not pushy, everyone friendly and up for a laugh. The original Queens Castle on Patpong 1 was amazing, and was voted the best bar in Asia by Time Magazine.
August 22, 20241 yr Compared to 10 or 20 years ago, a big difference is the lack of pretty young girls who like to dance in gogo bars. And because of that, many bars have trouble attracting (many) pretty girls. And the girls get away with lots of bad behavior which would not have been accepted years ago. What should the managers do? Fire them? And having even fewer girls? And because of fewer pretty willing girls, there are fewer customers. And those are more concentrated in the few "best" bars. Many bars make little or no money - but they can still launder money. The good times are over. And with all the online "dating" lots of that business will never come back. Good for us, the guys who lived here since decades, to remember the good old times. They won't come back.

If I missed something, I genuinely wasn’t aware it had been asked before otherwise, I wouldn’t have repeated it. Instead of accusing me of spamming, it would have been better to ask me privately. I enjoy the forum and asking for suggestions, and I’ve been in Thailand for a long time, but I wasn’t aware of this forum until recently. It seems some prefer to blame rather than help, but thanks for the link anyway.

Its been the rate there since 2018 give or take a few. If you need less expensive, try Beach Road in Pattaya or Soi 4 in the Ladyboy area

Currently I am rolling on the floor, crying like a baby as I know those times will never come back. Once upon a time there was "a men's paradise". A short "window of opportunity". Never before, never after. Best of all, formerly, the Girls felt very comfortable in this "mens paradise". Until somebody came along and told the girls that it is not Ok to feel comfortable in a "men's paradise". Convincing them that your body parts below the belt are much more worth than 500 Bht. The didn't dance on any stage and they tried to hide their ugly bodies in the flowing wide garment.
