 In his blistering, insightful account of his time in the Trump White House, McMaster describes meetings in the Oval Office as "exercises in competitive sycophancy" during which Trump's advisers would flatter the president by saying stuff like, "Your instincts are always right" or, "No one has ever been treated so badly by the press." Meanwhile, Trump would say "outlandish" things like, "Why don't we just bomb the drugs?" in Mexico or, "Why don't we take out the whole North Korean Army during one of their parades?"

Lots of the Trumpers here would love to have worked in the White House so they could tell Trump how smart he was, every day.

It's well documented from several first-hand accounts that Trump is susceptible to flattery.  All of our adversaries in Russia, China, N. Korea, Saudi Arabia, etc.....they all know this.  They know that all they have to do is publically compliment Trump and he'll give them whatever they want.  How stupid is that?  Another reason why Trump should never become POTUS.

Nothing will bite on the Maga cult, even after many of Trumps earlier key workers have told their story about working for him in the White House.

Trump and his supporters just call them losers or RINOs. Childish terms.

Trump appointees are "the best" going in, but when they realize what an idiot Trump is, and they leave, then they are RINOs or worse.
