Top 10 provinces for second-hand property sales identified
What does it matter anymore for most expats to read this now? The incoming remittance tax and if they do it - the global income tax, are deal breakers for a huge % of us ever wanting to buy property in Thailand. -

Is it worth having one short sighted eye corrected?
You might consider having a consultation with Dr. Somchai at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital regarding having lasik done. I looked into lasik in the US but I was told I would still need to use glasses, either for close-up or distance. Since I wanted to get rid of glasses as the whole point of having lasik, I didn't have it done. When I came to Thailand I checked again regarding lasik with Dr. Somchai. He told me he thought he could do the lasik in such a way that I could see both distance and close-up without having to wear glasses. And, he did just that. (Nice when that happens!) I ended up with great vision for both distance and close-up. This was back around 2011 or 2012 and I had great vision until just this year, when, at age 72, I noticed my distance vision remained great but I was having trouble reading the tiniest print on my health watch. I probably could have just continued with the slightly poor close-up vision but my spouse and I both decided to have Dr. Somchai do SuperSight lens replacement. (Spouse had also had lasik when I did.) And, again, very happy with the results. I can now see all that tiny print on my watch telling me I need to get more sleep. SuperSight is expensive and involved an overnight stay at the hospital, with more after surgery stuff to do than with lasik. With your case, lasik might be an easier, and equally good or better option. Dr. Somchai is very professional, takes his time, and is very patient in explaining things, with good follow-up care. As I said, it might be worth having him check your eyes and see what he says regarding your treatment options. -

Are you "all in" in your relationship?
My girlfriend is an idiot. She flip flops between great and caring then she’s totally unreasonable. Like my nearly 7 stepson has said to me out of the blue 6months ago “ if I die would you still stay in the village ? “ I answered “ yes , who will look after the dogs ?” So the latest with her is I’ve been away 3 months and have come back with two weeks of my Hols too take. I’ve been here 7 days today and a holiday break it has not been between the days of jet lag and then getting the new females post 1st season neutered I’ve had no time to rest and do nothing. She will do nothing I ask. I told her the most important thing is to not let the young dogs who came into season get pregnant. When the most loveliest and shy one got fixed at the vets yesterday ,3300baht and a week of tablets to give morning and night, she was found to have 11 embryos in her, that would have been testing. She is a most dysfunctional person but like a lot of relationships you let things slide until so many things revolving around the relationship make it hard to walk away, the 10 dogs the 7 year old and the items money and time have been spent on like the gardens trees, motorcycles, tools, AC the lithium back up power system etc. she’s a hoarder. Man four years ago I cleared out the house and rear of house in a big clean up. I placed everything of questionable motive for retention on the front of the property, partly to show others what I was living with. Broken toys and old electronics. Bags of years old shoes. Sacks of sacks and empty cardboard boxes, everything harboured ants and not to mention the scorpions and possible snakes underneath everything. It was quite a mess. So I dumped it all in a long pile for inspection and started taking the rest to the landfill in the woods by Saleng bike and sidecar. That was her not talking to me for 1 weeks. ( just went of this IPhones’ Safari Tab for a second to do something in another app and all written text till now was gone but then a message appeared saying the text has been recovered so hopefully that’s a new addition to the website AN I’ve lost so many nearly finished gems over time 🙁) She seems to have inherited early a rubber farm from her dad as he has become a monk in his final years and her sister who used to do it appears to have a cronic issue with her internals that makes her condition flare so she is busy with that but everything else I want doing takes second billing such as taking the dogs to get neutered which has stolen a week of my holiday and could easily have been done before I got here. She’s a mess. As is the house which is hers. Early on I realised I’m not building anything as she doesn’t look after it. I’ve resigned myself to the situation as me and the little one Dang are great together and his English is burgeoning even though I’ve been away 3 months he picks it up off YouTube videos. I’d been banging on about him going to the good school in town that one or two of his friends have started at but the enrolment came and went and he’s still in the primary school where the teachers cannot speak English. That would have helped his English while I cannot spend lots of time with him but it wasn’t convenient for her life. I’m not a big believer in school being the be all and end all of a child though and if he is happy with the village school I can live with that for now. I left school with zero and didn’t attend the exams and have done ok with what little intelligence I have while I meet contemporaries with low to mid level success who must at one time proudly told people of there fantastic grades. Oh and she smokes. The only woman I’ve seen smoke in nearly six years of being in Isaan. There must be thousands of cigarette end discarded in the garden and around the land the house sits on. -

PM Paetongtarn's Policy Statement critisised as Echo of Thaksin’s Vision
I found my way to the minutes of the caretaker cabinet meeting in question, on August 27th. It wasn't listed as far as I could see. But I'm sure it does exist. There are very strong conservative factions in academia, just as in the judiciary and military for instance. I'm sure there'll be a massive pushback against this. Universities are usually sources of enlightened liberalism, not reactionary conservatism. But those factions do exist. I wonder who the authors were of this? -

AIS App not loading.
I am having exactly the same problem as the OP on two phones - both Samsung, 2 and 3 years old. And I do mean exactly the same - they hang up at 56.1%, same as the OP. OP - do you have an antivirus on your phone? If yes, which one, please? I use Avast. I have emailed support via Google Play Store (more in hope than expectation.) I'll update the board if I get a reply. -

Harris Surges Past Trump In Election Betting Markets After First Presidential Debate
Quote: "A 3 vs 1 situation" Wow! Think again! A soccer team commits 30 fouls, So, the referee 'corrects' the first team 30x, the opponent 1x. Next, the 1st team complains that the referee is biased. Do you have any common sense? Or is it possible that you are severely biased?! -

Trump: “There Will Be No Third Debate!”
I couldn't see a reference to the both sides thing in the debate but it may be there. Trump saying if he doesn't get elected it's going to be a bloodbath for the country - noting it then as a decision about cars - is odd terminology - but I take your point . Point is he made lots of other lies and dodgy comments that weren't picked up - Harris confiscating guns, claims around the lost election and voter fraud, etc. I think things like immigrants eating pets, migrant crime and his comments on abortion are highly contentious and worthy of being picked up. If she made similar one off extreme claims I say she would have been picked up.
