August 3, 200718 yr My husband and I have finally had enough of living in one room, so are now looking for a 1 bedroom apartment with separate living room. We need it for under 10,000 baht. We also need it within reachable distance of Ekkamai as I work there. I currently commute for 1-1.5 hours in rush hour so don't mind a little traveling but would like to get closer. I am also happy to use buses. Friends have told me to look at On Nut or Bangna? Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated
August 6, 200718 yr You may try Union Tower. It's on Petchaburi road, opposite soi Thonglor. The 1 bedroom over there is about 7,000 to 9,000 baht per month with the pool and small gym. There are many foreigner stay there. Good luck.

Anything between 20(at 2am) to 90 (regular hours) minutes by car. On Nut is second (and last Sky Train stop) from Ekkamai and there should be plenty of units that price range, Soi 71. There is a huge brand new building at On Nut, Sukhumvit Soi 71 (street where Carefour is) called "Lumpini Condo". My wife's friend lives there, 20K baht for a spacious 2BR with pool, gym...etc. 600m from On Nut BTS station. Don't know what 1BR go for.
August 6, 200718 yr the obvious answer is to just look on soi ekamai. you should find something in that range.
August 7, 200718 yr Could try Pracha Uthtit, some nice quiet condos very cheap, there is a cut through past the tobacco factory. 10 minutes on a bike, 20 in a cab.
August 8, 200718 yr Author Thanks for your help everyone! I am now also looking at the possibility of a townhouse in the on nut or phra khanong region. Anyone know how to go about finding one? or know of any? I have gone walking around but can't find anything.
