Tourism Minister Aims to Levy 300-Baht Fee for Visitors
Who's the target here - 1st timers on VE? Or any farang even married ones with NON-O? If just for VE then cancel VE and go back to VoA then but state that it is now 60+30 days. And has no limit on back to back entries in Royal Gazette, that would be nice. -

Hybrid vs Turbo petrol new car choice.
I have a 2014 Civic. Possibly the best car I have ever owned. At 125K, the front seats recovered and window seals replaced. I have thought of a change, but with regular servicing and no problems, I can't see the point. As I get older my one objection is it being too low. -

nypost is a conservative news outlet. If 20% of the population sampled are MAGA voters, then that would explain a 20% result. Let me check if you are in my stupid post competition already. -

Poll: Do you want Ukraine to WIN in the Russia-Ukraine war (it's a binary choice)
I have a sneaky feeling that when Ukraine is kicked out ignominiously from Kursk, the Russians will expand the Donbass fight down to Odessa. Ukraine will be landlocked. -

Reduce taxation by gifting.
OK so you assess TRD is effective enough to enforce tax laws on individuals, is that correct? Personal tax collection figures prove otherwise. -

Don’t kill the golden goose! Tax reforms may drive away expats
For 90% of the retired people, nothing will change as there is a tax treaty with quite a lot of countries. For the reaming 10%, that i fall under myself as well, it will be time to pay, at least on paper. Won't wake up the sleeping dogs, but i can see someone waking up in the government and adding a tax paper to the requirements of the yearly visa extension. Then it's time for Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines or Cambodia as they have no taxes (or very little) for retirees. I am fine with paying taxes, but then i want the same rights as the Thai. -

Texas Chicken Bids Farewell to Thailand
Not a fan of Popeye's, Church's or KFC. Surprised there was Church's/Texas. Never saw a Texas outlet. I have seen a Chester's , and the one time I wanted to order, they only had legs. I much preferred Carl's Jr. Chicken strips, but then Carl's abandoned me. It was the only place where I ordered chicken after having been disappointed everywhere. Bonchon is a growing chain, and I just get disappointed. 3X in 3 years and each more awful than the previous years. As many lament, KFC is King of the hill, but it is awful. Small chickens, greasy and far too much salt. Am I wrong when I believe that Thailand's chicken fast food chains source chicken from the same chicken supplier, Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) Thailand or Cargill? -
