Makes sense. There's not a lot of good Mexican here so I was hopeful.

Taco Bell is not Mexican. Taco Bell Thailand does not sell either beef or bean products, silly as it is. Nachos are not a Mexican dish. These are all fast food takes on Californian Mexican. Which is damn good but not so authentic anymore,

yes,  I don't like boiled fish heads ......   and Thai food is so so .... I mean, you walk through the markets where it's real Thai food sitting in those ss trays for 5 hours,  it's looks disgusting, like slop,  but some Thai restaurant food is ok,  and does taste nice,  but not much.   each to his own.

I agree,  Thai food is just okay, mostly. A few dishes are very nice, but as a cuisine, it's got nothing on Indian, Greek, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Middle Eastern, Japanese, Mexican, British, and American even.

absolutely agree ....       and you'll walk past Thais that have a bag full of 3 or 4 slops and a bit of cabbage,  and they've just paid 145 baht for it.    crazy.

Yeah, and they are such "foodie" people. It seems like it's all they ever talk about or think about (besides money), yet they eat very mediocre, cold, unhealthy food mostly.

Quite clear you are not hanging out or around most Thai's.  One distinct type of Thai food has a strong odor, and as you say does not look very appetizing.

Fruit pudding seems to know very little about Thai's or their cuisine. He likes to use a very wide paintbrush when discussing the Thai people.  "Its all they ever think about".

What do you think of Taco Bell?

If you accept "Tex-Mex" rather than the genuine article, it's just OK.

There's recently been a TB opened in my home town in UK and as fast food delivery / takeaway goes it'll do!

Interestingly, if you look at the ingredients, it's probably slightly healthier than, say KFC or McD, neither of which I will touch.

Have you ever wondered what the fish in a McDonald's fillet-o-fish burger is ........    it's not farmed like everything you buy here ....   it doesn't eat mulched up bird poop ...   it's ocean free ...

The McDonald's Filet-O-Fish is probably fresher than you might expect, too: It wasn't too long before you bit into your piping hot fish sandwich that the fish inside was frolicking in the waters around Alaska and the Bering Sea. That's because the Filet-O-Fish is made with Alaska Pollock. The fish destined for your McD's sandwich are wild-caught as opposed to being farm-raised, and the strict regulations that govern the industry have made this not only one of the most sustainable fish but a fish population that isn't susceptible to overfishing and one that leads to almost no bycatch. (That's the measure of other species that are also caught along with the fish or are killed by fishing practices.)

That's the best one ....    you can't beat a pepperoni pizza ..  with tabasco sauce and olive oil of coarse

2 for1 now (NY double pep) and if you pick it up, an additional 100 baht off.  Think we're having pizza tonight 👍👍

Fortunately, I'm about 60k away from the nearest one at present.

So the diet is safe for now.

Sadly I'm not, as everything within 5 kms of house, including PC.

Though a bit irrelevant, as while up at Hua Hin the other day,   Picked up stick (1 kg) of Chorizo, along with some Mozzarella, Swiss, Monterey & Pepper Jack, Provolone, Pastrami, Smoked ham.  Already having plenty or Parmesan.  Damn expensive also, and haven't bought any in quite some time.

Always have Mozzarella & Parmesan on hand, but not the rest.  That 2/1 w/100 off is hard to pass up.

Not 100 off for pick-up, unless ordered on the app, I think.  BUT, saw placard, while eating, orders over 500, are 100 off. so add a side or drinks, to add 100 or so, and it's almost free.

Ordered online two 15", and somehow turned into two 9" when we arrived, so munched those 2 while they put in another 15".

two 9" w/optical illusion + 15 for the rest of the week 😁

wow  !    pepperoni overload ...    not sure my heart could take so much cholesterol in one hit,   but I'd sure damn well give it ago ....    haha

any tabasco & olive oil   ?

Nah ... your's first time read as add on.   I'll occasionally shake on some cayenne pepper, or it will be in the sauce to spice it up.  Pepperoni is enough of a spice hit.  They have oregano (needed) & shake thai chili powder on the table, and guess you could ask for garlic powder if wanting.

Not a fan of tabasco, on anything.  Seen EV olive oil used on YT before, but don't think I'd like it.

As with everything, moderation is the key. IMO the worst thing about fast food is that they put too much salt on it.

This thread made me want fast food so I'm going to microwave a frank and have a hot dog- yum.

I don't know how to order it.  I went to McDonalds and asked for a burger and she said no.  She started to list off special deals.  I walked out.

Texas Chicken was easier.  They only have two items on the menu.  Chicken and Chips.  So never has a problem with them.

Well I only eat KFC about 5 times a year....   anyway, I went and had a Zinger burger meal which includes small fries and refill 7up,  price was ok for 119 baht.

I can tell you I was pleasantly surprised today,  the bun was Thai fresh,  the chicken was a good size piece and was tasty, it was moist and had some flavor,  the lettuce was kinda on the small side but what was there was fresh.  The fries weren't cold as usual, they were warm which is rare.

overall, it was reasonable .....  and it was only 119 baht,   the only down side was it didn't really taste spicey, it needed more zinger in it,  but next time maybe not so good, it's a bit hit & miss with KFC.

do you ever try fast food  ?

Very rare maybe ones in a blue moon.

yes,  the Zinger burger is the only thing I'd get there,  and only once every month or two.  I would like to try a McSpicy chicken burger if there is such a thing as I've heard from a couple of member that their chicken is very good.

I don't use KFC, their French Fry portions are ridiculous.

Zinger burgers are okay, a lot better than the rest of KFC fare.

Enjoy Texas chicken occasionally, they have some good wraps and the mash potato with gravy is pleasant.

I bet their mash potato is like their French Fries, a couple of mouthfuls and it's finished.
