It being your claim then you need to demonstrate they are.

They were in power for 12 of the last 16 years, so clearly they are responsible for the lack of housing and massive influx of immigrants, especially as they are the pro immigration party.

Do you need a link to who won the elections since Obama got in?

Or how many immigrants have entered since then?

Or how many houses have been built?

Which deflection are you opting for today?

I suspect it’s because you have little if any understanding of the causes of homelessness in the U.S.

Not enough houses. And too many people that need somewhere to live, primarily due to the large influx of immigrants.

The Democrats are responsible for both.

You didn’t read the link I posted and you’ve provided absolutely no links to any credible sources to back your own claims.

You are denying massive levels of immigration to the US? Please check below, you might learn something.

Ah, the correlation must be causation fallacy.

You’ve yet to provide any links.

Maybe you should ask immigrants working in housing construction what they think. It would certainly be a good idea to check before deporting them.

Same goes for immigrants working in agriculture and food processing, holding food prices down.

Low paid immigrant workers driving up housing prices, it’s laughable nonsense.

Those who disregarded the statistics regarding homeless people and illegal immigration are misguided.

In the UK illegal immigrants are given priority housing often in five star hotels.

Actual evidence of immigrants being given accommodation in these ‘five star hotels’ you refer to.

Just one immigrant and one five star hotel will do.

Give it your best shot.

Given current trends, the US is on pace to exceed 2023’s record of 653,000 homeless individuals. The increase in homelessness has paralleled a record number of migrants crossing the border illegally, seeking asylum, and then being transported to major cities like New York, Chicago, Boston, and Denver. This has stretched local resources thin, leading to rising crime and gang violence in some areas. Massachusetts, for example, reported that nearly half of the more than 7,000 families in its family shelters were migrants. The state expects to spend over $1 billion housing migrants during this fiscal year alone, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Is this not what the Democrats wanted by allowing so many into the country?

And which poster here laughed at the the idea the money for the citizens was being used up by illegals? Seems i was not the only one saying this was happening. Harris/Biden really outdid themselves with this problem they created. Expect more if harris wins the elections.

driven by a surge in illegal migrants

Evidence it's illegal migrants?

Reality it's just regular Americans that would by law includes legal immigrants.

"Chronic homelessness is at an all-time high. Here’s why it continues to climb," PBS.org - Dec 22, 2023

Key findings from the 2023 point-in-time count cited from

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development:

  • About 20 in every 10,000 Americans experienced homelessness during the count. Black people, who comprise 13 percent of the total U.S. population, make up 37 percent of people experiencing homelessness and half of all people experiencing homelessness as members of families with children.
  • Around 28 percent of people experienced homelessness as part of a family with children. That’s an increase from 2022, reversing a downward trend that began in 2012.
  • For the first time, the count broke down age categories for adults. More than 20 percent were 55 or older, and nearly 40 percent were older than 45.

Here's a an article that discusses the housing issue in the US:

https://www.bankrate.com/real-estate/low-inventory-housing-shortage/

This paints a picture of a supply failure. It doesn't mention unforeseen or unusual increase in demand due to immigration. Immigrants have always been part of the demand for housing. The demand side isn't something new. The cause of the shortage lies on the supply side.

A big part of the housing crisis is private equity firms buying up everything. Also the lack of competition among builders now. Only a few home builders control a big chunk of all housing starts.

Not sure if it is  a five star anymore, but the iconic Roosevelt Hotel in NYC.  Or The Row New York City. I believe it was a 4 star, but will that do in a pinch? More than 1300 rooms, the city is paying $5 million a month to rent the whole place as an immigrant shelter. The Crowne Plaza at JFK airport is getting $2 million a month as a shelter as well. Average payout is about $350 per room per night overall in the city.

Ohio law seems to be fairly landlord-friendly and there are situations in which a three-day notice of eviction is allowed, but eviction by the landlord simply because a Haitian immigrant wants to rent the premises isn't one of them.

A quick Look at Ohio landlord-tenant laws seems to suggest that non-payment of rent and/or illegal activity at the premises tend to be the most common causes of eviction during the term of a lease.

She cites wage cuts and job offshoring as causing her financial difficulties. This is probably the real reason for her predicament, not the nationality or immigration status of the landlord's new tenants.

Another murdoc rag,put those people to work picking fruit and other crops like in the old days get the bipartisan border bill passed for more border patrol more fentanyl enforcement more judges and case workers to weed out the fake asylum seeker’s.

Thousands more gov jobs. Thousands of migrants still coming, so that 150k per month can cross before any "discretionary" emergency authority might be used. This bill is weak and itself open to abuse, Don't be shocked that it didn't pass.
