Best option is to apply for extension that will be rejected and stamp (posted earlier in thread) will show 7 days limit to exit Thailand. No negative impact from that stamp unlike an overstay stamp. Anyone needing more that the 7 days "get out of dodge" stamp can do border bounce. Visa run companies do that from Bangkok
