Funny wording, but yes, I have known for many years that I will die in Thailand. The only time I have left in the last 25 years was to visit my elderly parents. They are gone 12 years now and I have not left since then. My family is here. I have no desire to leave them.

For me, it's a no-brainer....Thailand is where I hope to die.

 

I am not saying that I often think of dying.

Thailand, after over a decade of non-stop life here, without leaving, is still the place to die....for me.

 

There are very few better places to die.

I will not be sorry to never return to my home country, or to....  The Main Line......

 

Death on the Main Line would be far less cheerful, IMHO.

 

Here in Thailand, I find the prospect of dying far less distasteful.....

I am not saying that this must happen tomorrow.

And, I expect to die here in Thailand.....maybe.....

In the year 2062....

A year, I predict, will be 1.5 degrees C...hotter than now.

Make sure you don't get constipated then. Straining can cause death if have a weak heart. I had a patient would have died on the bog, had I not found him in time to resuscitate.

I used to be in my young days, but I'm a bit old for doing the limbo these days.

I'm quite happy to live my life such as it is on my own. Some of us are capable of surviving without having other people around to keep them entertained.

When I last looked into donating my cadaver the rules stated up to age 65. It wasn't clear whether that was when you applied or when you died. Either way, I was over the limit. The Mrs insists on traditional Thai funeral with guests, food and drink over several evenings so she's taken out Life Insurance on me. Cancelling that now would involve loss of premiums paid to date.

I just checked my form, and no mention of age. I think they are just happy to get any bodies at all.

 

I'd rather that my money goes to charity than to people eating and drinking at my expense.

Many thanks for your information. Proves it's vital to keep up-to-date! I had a look and the only age limit is now the minimum one of 18. Unfortunately, I'm outside the specified weight range of 40-100kg.
