Urinary tract infection..... I didn't know males could get this.

Well I can tell you from personal experience that we can. No sex need to be involved.

A couple of days anti-Bs can get rid.

Why did you not Google UTI in normal, heterosexual men?

An enlarged prostate can cause it quite easily. I know, I've been there.

UTIs aren’t contagious, so you wouldn’t have caught it from your colleague. They usually happen when bacteria gets into your urinary tract—pretty common. Treatment is usually just antibiotics after your GP confirms it’s a UTI. I've had one before, and it’s uncomfortable but clears up fast with the meds. As for bladder cancer, no need to stress about that from just a UTI. I’d still bring it up with your GP if you’re worried, though.

You can't get urinary tract infection just by talking to people, no matter how close they are, unless you were both naked and rubbing against each other.

The practice is called "frottage" - not to be confused with "fromage" (cheese). Though even that would not transmit urine infection. But when there's a will there's a way... let's defer that to the OP.

Same here. Depending on the infection, and its location, sometimes drinking juice with a good amount of cranberries in it, or outright cranberry juice, can sometimes get rid of a UTI. For most people it will change the Ph of their urine, which can sometimes kill an infection. If it does not help at all after several days, it is time for the doc.

This will absolutely not work for STDs such as gonorrhea.
