Webcam recommendations

Featured Replies

Does anyone use a USB Webcam that they can recommend for use on a desktop system?  You know, the type that clips onto your monitor so you can do things like Zoom calls and Skype.

I think you can use your smartphone and tether it via USB/WiFi to become a "webcam"  not something I have done but think its possible.

Logitech do a good reliable range at a reasonable price.

It depends on what you want to use it for.

With good light conditions for a basic office meeting probably all cameras will do the job.

If you want that everybody can see every pore of your skin even in the dark, then better buy a better camera.

Good suggestion.  I looked on Shopee and Lazada, my only issue is whether or not they are actually Logitech or a fake knockoff.  The price range for a Logitech C922 ranges from aroung 750 THB to 3500 THB.  So it's like, Ok...which is real and which is overpriced if it is real.

I need to check the Logitech website and see what bells and whistles come with different models and check the price in the US and then cross check given the current exchange rate.  Or find one that looks good and buy it at Advice or another computer store.

Anyone have a Logitech?

Present one Oker' webcam  had it for 13 years perfect clear, never a problem

Before had Logitech more expensive and had to have 3 in about 20 years

I've had several over the years in Thailand, China, and the USA.  I've always been happy with them.  Never had any irritating problems with connecting them.  Or the inevitable updates, like I've had with some off-brands that are cheaper and look good on paper.

Logitechs just work...

Interesting but out of my price range.  No doubt an excellent camera.

I just have an Oker HD cam 2Mp on a tripod stand. Also able to fix it on top of the monitor if I wish. Advice have them, and the price is about 1 200 baht. Working perfect.

Lot of decent webcams out there, check ratings and vendor. Verify on Amazon. Knockoffs can be quite good, however. I got a Chinese bargain from Aliexpress. Not one of our Approved® buying habits, however. Happy with it, and I've had Logitech, Creative, and Microsoft cams over the years.

Costs a little extra, but autofocus is well worth it. As you probably know.
