Featured Replies

I have some positive reviews on these. Does anyone have an experience of this bike?

great until there's a problem or you want to sell it

Yep.

Same situation as I have with my 5 year old MG.

Zontes even now has an ADV model, with on paper spec superior to Forza and ADV 350, but we need a lot more reports and feedbacks to see if it's as good in real life.

Chinese bikes are actually survive the first year or two with no major issues, it's after that they might fail and cause problem. Although might lose a nut or bolt here or there, but nothing major early on...

If there are dealers around to bring their spare parts, it will probably be cheap to maintain and repair, but I don't see many dealers...! Yet.

This website lists the dealers. https://www.zontes.co.th/

Can't make up my mind between Honda ADV350 or Zontes 368G. Seen reviews of both and video comparisons and the Zontes comes out top in most respects apart from service intervals. Also no dealer in my province yet.

I saw a Zontes 368K model in Phuket Central mall a couple of months ago - the model option I might consider, they where promoting it with 368G, with some discount for cash buyers, can't remember but around ~175k baht...

It looked good, the spec are better than Forza and Xmax , but on paper...! He said can test drive K model in Phuket soon..., I think can test drive G model already there...

It even had electric windshield like Forza - that I can no longer live without (due to helmet noise reduction it gives at high speed. No, can't use earplugs for long rides ... ) , but only goes up or down..., not continuous movement like Forza...!

The engine has more power for sure, I've seen many races on YouTube they come on top - spoke to guy who had it, pass Forza easily , but who knows about handling, brakes, noise, comfort, etc....? All important...

I am concerned about servicing. There are loads of Honda dealers that also provide regular servicing (I just took in my SH 150i for its, 4,00km service today and walked home - it is that convenient), but the nearest Zontes dealer is about 150 kms away, and I am not sure that any of the local motorcycle dealers would be willing to service a Zontes.

back to back road test between these two, including a standing start side by side, with surprising results - being uploaded in the next few days:

i have just completed a 4.5 K kilometre trip from Hua Hin through Los and Vietnam, it was an organised tour.

There was a gentleman on a Zontes 368G, the Adventure style model.

i spoke to him at length about the scooter and i was very impressed with its performance over the course of the tour.

we rode on secondary roads in Laos, full off potholes and a lot of unsealed surfaces, as well as secondary and primary roads in Vietnam.

he had no problem keeping pace with the big bike riders and it amazed me how well the scooter performed.

I know Zontes have released a 703 adventure style full size bike and after watching this scooter i am considering purchasing one for my son.

personally i ride a ducati but now i would not hesitate to recommend a Chinese scooter.

Basic common sense. If the dealer is 150kms away you plan an overnight stay. Hopefully the dealer is somewhere where there are some mongering bars.

Not my thing. I'm not into the bar scene.

But still 150kms away. Perhaps they also have museums or...

That being said my motorcycle dealer is 160kms away but I wouldn't go there specifically for that.

Just watched it as it popped up in recommended videos for me on Youtube. Quite a detailed review, but as I commented on Yutube, while I do prefer the Zontes, the nearest dealer is about 2 hours away from my home, while the nearest Honda dealer is about 1 minute away (really). I prefer the look, the standard bars, display, functionality and higher ground clearance of the Zontes, but I've also got to consider reliability, which is still unknown for the Zontes.

Nice comprehensive review, but his power comparison was not that good, firstly he never took off exactly the same time as his buddy, and he should have swapped places with him and do a proper race with same start - also need to check gas tank have same amount of gas..., to be more precise..., a lot of videos on you tube with above precise comparison shows the difference better..., Zontes has a bit more, not as much as on paper though...

I am not interested in ADV models at all, but I wish he would do M or K models...  vs Forza..., would be great... 😎

I looked at the video and his buddy in the "army" coat is on the ADV 350 in one standing start "race" and on the zontes in another - personally can't see that the zontes has 10bhp more than the Honda, they're pretty much neck and neck .. ...

without timing lights; the guy that moves first has a huge advantage if both vehicle are evenly powered. Variator tuning is also a huge advantage.

I looked at the Zontes but decided to buy the Honda Forza 350 instead.

The Zontes spec looks nice but I’m too afraid how it will hold up after a year or 2.

The Honda Forza has a very good track record with service centres at almost every little town and if something happens it can be repaired easily at every street shop.

The Zontes services is a big headache and i don't know how the spare parts availability situation is.

Having ridden them back to back over several hours - The Zontes makes a lot of sense, but the honda's 50+ year track record for reliability and strong re-sale values, makes the Honda my choice ...
