I have had a few message me trying to up the price.

Wow!  I've never had Grab do that before.  That has to be against their code of conduct.  Plus, your review when you awards stars is crucial to them.  That's an easy way for them to get a low reputation.

In my case actually Bolt... they are usually cheaper, and I don't fancy travelling with a couple of Pizzas I couldn't touch!

Yes but please "analyse ' the psychology

We are talking about the Coloured Licensed Pattaya taxis here before I go on

The man was in his 50's he was making 500 baht a trip in his licensed taxi and this was years before Grab /Uber

Then Comes along a multi national called Grab and says we are paying you now 80 baht ,take it or accept it

That's why he was angry

Jomtien to Pattaya 79 baht

As he said this is wrong before he got 300

Change..we call it ..sad

Same happened in Bangkok 30 years ago when all taxis were made to use their meters and not make up silly prices to rip off foreigners.

Only difference is it was never applied in Pattaya so they continued to rip off foreigners until Grab came along, and now Bolt.

No sympathy for the taxi drivers from me, they were just plain greedy before.
