Can anyone tell me why Lazada increases the shipping price by double once you try to place your order.

Never happened to me in years of buying from them. More like free shipping on many orders. OK, so now their new rules may apply. Shopee here I come!

It’s common for Lazada to say free shipping and when you get to checkout it’s 38 baht.

I think it’s due to being in Chiang Rai.

In my experience, it almost always says Bht 38 or more for shipping, and at Checkout it is deducted. Even parcels from China are only 38.

What I'm confused about is why anyone would place an order and then carry on looking to see if you could find the item cheaper elsewhere. Wouldn't it make more sense to check around first and when you're 100% sure you've found the cheapest, then you place the order?

Bit like choosing a Thai wife. Not a good idea to shop around after the deed. Especially early on. Best to check out the options first. Can she make a nice cup of Rosy? Could she tell you all the EPL champions? Does she reach for a machete when she gets angry? Does she understand the rules of cricket; or at least be willing to learn them? Can she swim?

I have 2.6k baht locked into my Lazada wallet for over two years. Can't access it.

The Bht 25 Shipping Fee Promotion will count as some sort of promotion, so, unfortunatley, their rules will apply.

I agree it is a PITA, and will consider using only Shopee from now on.

The promotion was not applied by me.

The seller must have  done that or lazada.

I think Lazada is far superior to Shopee, but that just my opinion.

I have a 75" TV to be delivered in a day or two that I will reject because I found it 3,000 baht cheaper without the "free" soundbar that I don't want.

Off topic,

Paid 16,500bht for my TCL 75" google tv (Lazada sale day) and it's the best tv I've ever owned.

Have you investigated the option of "withdrawal" to a Bank account?

I had a wallet balance that no matter how I tried I could not satisfy the requirements to utilize. Then the "withdrawal" feature surfaced and that was no problem to use.

I have used it more than once to withdraw credit for wrong items or undelivered items.

Nah, you either didn't collect the free shipping voucher, or you didn't order using the Lazada app on your phone.

I always collect the free shipping vouchers and I only ever order on my phone app.

I’m pretty sure it’s to do with being in Chiang Rai.

Of course Lazada add the promotions, so that they can enforce their new rule.

I personally prefer the range of goods offered on Lazada than Shopee, but there's not much in it.

Can I ask the model number?

I’ve ordered the 75T7B

75P635

Mine is the normal LCD TV (16k5), yours is the QLED version (23k2). I sit right in front of mine so I don't need the wider QLED viewing angle, and my blacks are black enough. Apart from that specs are almost identical.

Made my android google tv box redundant as I can run DS Video direct on the TV and it integrates seamlessly with my Synology NAS.

If it integrates with my NAS I will be nicely surprised. I have about 250TB of media on them.

I used to be able to Withdraw to my Bkk Bank easily. Now it can only be done via the App, and I must attach copy of Passport/ID, and Bank book. Frustrating eh?

And my buying privileges have been suspended

So you buy something without looking around or researching.

Then after buying it you look around and research.

Then you don't want to buy it anymore.

Are you 3 years old?

So you make a comment without reading the thread, as it already is explained by me and @JBChiangRai what happened

I got a bit pished off with shopee, they wanted me to enter a code every time I logged on,

that was sent to my phone.  ( i use a desk top pc for orders)  i found it just annoying.

So use Lazada now, no code to enter.

I don't know your age, but how long will it take you to watch or listen to 250 TB of media before you kick it?

I placed an order on Lazada, and just minutes later I found the same item cheaper elsewhere. So since it only a few minutes had passed and the order obviously hadn't been processed yet, I decided to cancel.

Strange enough, the cancel tab was greyed out.

I clicked on the cancellation policy link, and that clearly said that if the order isn't packed yet, which is the case, it can be cancelled.

image.png.66be9af86d5f95502bf39cf2bd8f6a7e.png

https://helpcenter.lazada.co.th/s/faq/knowledge?&language=en-US&m_station=BuyerHelp&questionId=1000138733&hybrid=1&categoryId=1000027159

image.png.fa741a5c6b46b35330fbef326df1d286.png

So I decided to contact support, and then I got this, which actually means no orders at all can be cancelled anymore, because with every order a promotion of some kind is applied, even if it is only 1 baht discount.

image.png.f0c595adcc07d001f0d2a8d349a19721.png

I also spoke with support, and in their email response they made clear they were unwilling to cancel the UNPACKED order, which leaves me the only option which is to reject the delivery.

All fine and well, but of course rejection of COD orders will be noted on your profile, and they may remove the COD option for you in the future because of this.

I hadn't ordered anything from Lazada for over 8 months because of their silly rules and policies, and switched to Shopee because they are not only cheaper on most products I'm interested in, but they are also easier to deal with.

Result is that I now also will reject the other 3 others I placed with this seller, and which are shipped already, and Lazada now definitely will see the backside of me.

Good luck with them forcing themselves on customers.

So, don't order before you did your research.

Of course you can reject, but why the continuous deflection from the topic at hand?

Rejection of any order, COD or paid in advance, will be noted on your profile, and certain restrictions will be applied. Some restrictions that may not even be known to you, like promotions become invisible to you etc.

You started it with your second post on this thread when a poster simply pointed out that Lazada rules allow you to reject a 'paid for' order and claim a refund. I understood that, it appears that you didn't.

On a personal note I have never had a problem with Lazada on 200+ orders - and I am happy with their terms of business.

Also, I have never looked somewhere else for a cheaper price once I have ordered from somebody.......that's just me.

Especially in these days of IPTV, streaming and 1Gb/s internet. Not need to save anything.

I'm at the point of no longer investing in new disks, as they fail I don't replace them and I've binned some of the stuff that doesn't interest me.  I won't lose anything with the next 2 disk failures but after that, I'll have to prioritise what I really want.

I do have Netflix too, but there's a lot of good stuff on Hulu and Apple/Apple+

I have an IPTV program I get from UK, Zoo TV, for 35 quid A YEAR, which gives me too many movies, series, all Sky, TNT, Opus sports, all terrestrial stations in UK, USA, Aus...everywhere.  Installed on Firestick, and PCs via Bluestacks. Could not want more.

Ooops back to Lazada. 555

Can anyone tell me why Lazada increases the shipping price by double once you try to place your order.

AFAIK Lazada matches the seller and the buyer.

The seller chooses the shipping company and get its shipping costs from them.

You order items THROUGH Lazada and NOT from Lazada. You choose the item that you want from a list of suppliers on the Lazada website. Lazada neither sets the prices nor the shipping costs.

If the shipping costs are more than advertised, you have the choice of cancelling the order and going to another supplier, or simply accepting the price and the shipping costs.

Lazada is just an intermediary company and it gets its commission from the seller.
