You don´t have the correct facts. Already 1975 The overweight percentage was 8,6%. If you where here before that it was probaly not close to zero then either.

It's not only the undisputable fact that Thai girls are getting bigger, but also the fact that a hell of a lot of guys still think that they are attractive - well, compared to back home in the UK that's generally true.*

 

I spend a lot of time in bars and it never ceases to amaze me the number of big, unattractive girls that get bar-fined by pale newbies while their slim attractive colleagues are left hustling for ladydrinks. Generally, I think that ex-pats and long-termers still prefer the classic tiny Thai spinner.

 

* In the UK being overweight is totally accepted and virtually something to be proud of - in fact, many smart advertisers have realised that this has now become a huge market and they only target big girls to the exclusion of slimmer girls.

That is probably because they can not get laid back home, even when they chase the fat Girls. Now they are happy that they get laid, does not matter how she looks. Sad world really.

I come from a small seaside town on the south coast of the UK and the local girls are grim - but after a couple of lagers the local guys will poke anything.

 

I'm glad in many ways that I'm not a young man "on the free market" any more.

The point is that 90% of the foreigners in Thailand sporting their skinny or chubby thai ladies in restaurants, the malls and showing off all over, have plainly got those fine ladies on rent at the end of the day. So nothing to brag really about...the problem is that even those who are in a "normal" relationship, will be considered by bystanders to have rented the lady.

Have you noticed the kids nowdays in Thailand?  They're all taller by a lot from the kids of 20+ years ago.  I'm no expert, but I believe the influence of Western food has made everybody grow.  The kids grow vertically, but the adults, having achieved their 'full' height grow horizontally.

Personally, I blame the young men.

If the young men accept the fat girls, then they will just get fatter and fatter.

The young men need to take action and put a stop to this atrocity.

Tell the girls, they are not interested if they are fat.

I find it disgusting.

Thailand now has as many fat people as every other country imo.

Its not acceptable to me, and my thai gf knows that.

Call me shallow, whatever, i really dont care.

If i want a fat bird, i will go back to England.
