Where to buy a 12v DC to 220v AC inverter to power my laptop from a car battery?

Featured Replies

I had a great inverter which I bought in Amorn a few years ago.  It just died and Amorn has closed down...

I don't want to buy online from Lazada because I am only in Pattaya for 2 days.  Does anyone know of a shop that sells these kinds of inverter in Pattaya?  Thanks

Mr. DIY or Big C Extra would be the first places I'd look. You'll want a pure sine wave for a laptop and 500 watts should suffice.

why invert up to 220 VAC?  Why not 110 VAC?  I would think those might be available at RV or Boat or marine supply stores

Why not, perhaps his computer supply is 220-230vAC which is the standard voltage in Thailand? Most computer supplies are 100-230v input capable so what you say is possible.
