Noisy neighbour in the gated town house

My Thai wife said to me nearly forty years ago, "Do not get into a confrontation with a Thai. If you have a problem, let me deal with it." Sound advice. Dealings with Thais is all about 'Face'. Loss of face is unforgivable for them and dangerous for the person perceived to be responsible. If you have a Thai wife or Thai friend, let them try to deal with it. Just my opinion.

Give it a few weeks, if it's still to noisy.

Move again.

Noise is all part of Thailand's culture.

But yes, I see it as manly anti social behavior by a selfish few.

I have lived in 5 different locations and every single one had a people noise problem, burning problem or soi dog problem.  Getting higher up in a condo didnt seem to solve that problem either. Ive noticed that there are just some countries in the world where you just arent going to get your beauty sleep every night. Too many people enjoy being loud when they shouldnt be and no laws protecting the peace. I have learned to sleep with a youtube lightning and thunder 24/7 video going all night.

This curse of the noisy neighbor is an extremely sensitive subject. It is almost 100% guaranteed that if someone object, not only things might get worse, but he/she will have a life long enemy! This is the very reason that these morons carry on without a care in the world.

Well, the only other thing on could do is to create a louder rumpus than him! - but how many of can resort to that? In the absence of the law, we are helpless IMHO.

I am presently experiencing not only loud music,  but over grown trees in close proximity to my house. Now I have decided to relocate (just after 2 years)!

I will be honest, Thailand may not be for you, and probably most Tropical regions also. It's not for everyone. The noise aspect of Thailand goes well with me. Thais generally have a good level of being considerate whilst letting people live. I gel well with them in this way and have done for a long time.. apart from the dogs situation. I don't dogs running at me when I haven't entered your property, make some effort to control them. But it's not that big of a deal either.

your gotta either be looney or barking mad ...   I'm not sure which one  !   :vampire:
