What are all the requirement to renew a 2 year motorbike licence at the Pattaya office?

Is it a 2-step process where you have to turn up for getting a queue number, then about 30 days later your queue number will be for the 2nd appointment to actually get the licence? Is it still so long to get the actual appointment?

Is there a link online to download the application form for renewal of a licence? Do you need to provide a photo of yourself too? If so, what size?

Go to agent. Pay 3k baht. Be driven to DL office and go to front of line to sign paperwork for next appointment.

Visit 2: be driven to DL office. Go to special room to "watch video" then go to front of line for reaction time and colour blindness tests. Go to wicket and pay for licence with agent's money. Take a number and wait 5 minutes to have photo taken.  Wait 5 more minutes for licence to be handed to you. Agent drives you back and you can forget about it for the next 5 years.

Gee. Last time I renewed I was capable enough to do all that by myself without an agent. Some loser with an agent babysitting him was there behind me in line. I asked how much he paid. 6k was the answer. I laughed and laughed. I believe he was offended. Too bad.

It's like me laughing at those in economy on the flights home and queuing to board! But yours is faux laughter to cover your shame of poverty!

Why the hostility?

I didn't think all of the people who were sitting on the plastic chairs outside (waiting for an hour) just to book an appointment were "losers", they were just people who didn't mind waiting and handling things themselves.  I don't like waiting, so I paid for a premium service to avoid the wait. It's also quite a long scooter ride from where I live. Being driven and chatting with the agent was very pleasant.  I took her for lunch after that and she gave me her number.

Shame of my poverty? Haha. I fly business twice a year to N. America. The guy who was behind me who paid 6k (times 2, 1 for car, 1 for bike) stood in the same line I did. No fast track, no special line. 12k for babysitting.

I was just having fun with you.

I used an agent last time... I live way North of town so trips to immigration,  to get a COR, are a pain, and I also avoided having to get a doctors certificate, and do the on-line test. That seemed worthwhile for the amount it cost me, total of 5000 baht, 2x 6 year licences. I didn't even need the rides to and from the DVLC, as easier to drive the short distance myself than get picked up or attend the agents office. You seem to have conveniently have forgotten those steps.

Cute girl to chat to there provided too!

How much do agents charge only to get a COR from Jomtien Immigration on your behalf? I suppose you need a TM30 already lodged prior to applying for a COR?

Not sure, it was included for me and with my aversion to going all that way, I have not done my own CORs for ages. Yes, a TM30 must be current, but again, when one uses an agent, things are usually less strict. An agent sorted my TM30 too, for   1000 baht (I was getting a new COR at the same timt), prior to that I had never actually done a TM30 and been here for many years, so felt I  dodged a fine.

I was quoted 1k baht two days ago, with a 24hr turn around time.
