Immigration - totally useless

Recommended Posts

I've just had my online 90 day report rejected.  The email said "Incomplete information provided".  No indication what information was incomplete.  And every single field was completed exactly the same as my previous umpteen applications.  (Well, apart from my last one, when I had to submit in person at the ninth circle of hell, Chaeng Wattana because their pisspoor computer systems don't talk to each other.)

I have rarely encountered an operation which is so utterly unprofessional and generally incompetent.

Do your 90 day reports via mail.

Pretty much bullet proof

Well, apart from the time when I submitted by mail and never received confirmation.  I had to go to the office and search through a vast manual ledger looking for where they'd received my mail in report.  Total waste of my time.  (Admittedly, this was about 15 years ago, and at a provincial office, so maybe they've improved things since then.)

Just to add, any half decent computer system would validate the input to make sure that all required information was input.

They put red stars next to some input field, I'm guessing to indicate they are mandatory.  However, forename is not flagged as such, even though it is required.  There are other fields, too, I believe.

I just wonder who actually developed this system.

Did you not use the autofill? (enter passport number select country and press the search button)

You must remember TIT the middle name has no asterisk because the majority of Thais do not have a middle name.

I have Thai friends that entered on foreign passports they must provide TM47's too.

They certainly have.

You mention CW in OP.

In the return envelop they will also include the photocopies that you posted with the TM47

With online report...assume you used magnifying glass auto fill after entry of name and pp # field
