Why do you defend such a sleazeball?

Good question and I would have never imagined voting for him 4 years ago.  Maybe defunding the police, men without dongs competing against women in sports, immigration....  The demeaning dems are getting a dish of reality it seems.

You still believe in the boogeyman.

At your age, unbelievable!

"Adolf Hitler never won a majority in a free and open national election. He never received more than 37% of the vote in a free and open national election". When he entered the race for president, in spring 1932—the only time Hitler ran for public office—he lost by six million votes, securing just 36.77% of the electorate. Hitler went to court to have the election results overturned amid claims of voter fraud, but the judge dismissed the case out of hand.  https://time.com/6971088/adolf-hitler-take-power-democracy/

The number Nazi members voted into power allowed them to have an office--so he was awarded the chancellorship of Germany  then the death of the president -&  the burning of the Reichstag  (parliament) allowed them to declare state of emergency which they never came out of.

The Last thing we want to do when condemning Trump is to actually look at facts.

Why would we want to read project 2025 when it was written by Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, Hot Trump, who has said 101 times that he didn't agree with it.....

Once again -when condemning Trump--dont lets get any fact's in the way of a good argument

Buy precious metals. The US dollar is going down.

Countries are lining up to join BRICS. When it reaches critical mass, USD will lose reserve currency status.

Trump's exclusive NFTs, where he is shown covered in muscles and doing homoerotic poses are pretty hot. Thanks for reminding me. I will pass on to my grandchildren.

Indeed. Who would have thought the American people would become the most powerful weapon in the BRICS arsenal.

I am a 70+ years old guy in NE Thailand. I have and have never had any immediate family wives or children in USofA (e.g. the guy whose daughter comes to visit him in Thailand and she is older than his current Thai wife).

As far as MY connection to the US, what matters to me are these concerns:

The US Stock market
The money/bond market
Social Security
Medicare (if needed)
The USD to Thai baht exchange rate to the extent influenced by the US economy

And for me, personally, as long as those things stay copacetic I don't really care who is US President.

Its Possible you didn't Jingthing...it was said so many times by the anti Trump mob--maybe you just said it will be the end Democracy -there will be no more elections etc etc. As an Australasian, I look at these posts and I see what such a large majority of Americans wanted , and think, why don't just except-your parson lost.

We have both been on here a long time ---I remember when Hillery lost--- you and others with the same dire warnings before and after--- and here we are-- didn't make a lot of change to our lives did it.

I have no control over what he does or doesn't do so I'll just wait and see what happens, if anything.

One chief concern throughout the election campaign has been Social Security, which currently faces a funding crisis that would see benefits slashed by roughly 20 percent by as early as 2035.

Trump has been vocal in his pledge not to cut any Social Security benefits once he becomes president.

"I will not cut one penny from Social Security or Medicare," Trump said at a campaign rally in Florida this July. "And I will not raise the retirement age by one day."

What is a "household"?

Why not be more accurate;    Among working-age individuals (ages 15 to 64), the most common type of retirement accounts in 2020 were 401(k)-style accounts (34.6%). About 18% of working-age individuals had an IRA or Keogh account, and 13.5% had a defined-benefit or cash balance plan.

As you can see, the Median Value in those retirement funds is not very much. Even if there are large increases in the returns, the reality is that there will be  chump change to play with.

who-has-retirement-accounts-table-1.jpg

The have nots will remain have nots. people like me  who are financially well off, will do much better.

Say the median age of account owners is 40. What might be the expected value of a $30K in an S&P index fund in 25 years?

The poor will always remain poor.  Most have no incentive to work or better their lives.

Personal choice.  Not the government’s responsibility directly.  Most local governments have programs to help.  Those that take advantage and apply themselves succeed.  Others can’t be bothered trying or working for “the man”.

Try offering a homeless person holding a sign work.   Vast majority don’t want work.  Only a handout. It’s become a lifestyle choice for many.

In America.

No. Generally, only the subsidized poor stay poor. The working poor quite often move up in a meritocratic system.

Do you have money invested in the US stock market? I am an old man with fewer days left than the days I have left behind.  If my pension fund and my investments remain viable and strong under this facist then so be it. If that makes me a facist then so be it.   Yes, I do not have children so what happens after I kick the bucket is not something I think about.  I say good luck to the yournger generation that will have to overcome the legacy of this facist.  Next time put up a better candidate for starters.

If I was 22 I would have a different perspective.

1.  My debt .  0

2.  Inflation highest under Biden since the early 80’s.

3.  Small amount of precious metals should be part of every portfolio.  Nothing new.

4.  Dollar goes up, down, up, down.

Nothing new.  Seen this before under various Presidents.

5.  BRICS .  The sky is falling again.

Based on your past predictions you might want to give it up.

At least we won’t run out of toilet paper again on the Supermarket shelves like we did under Biden.

Agreed.  The ones who apply themselves succeed.

Subsidized and poor by lifestyle choice stay poor.
