31-Year-Old Woman Dies After Falling from Parking Structure of Major Pathumwan Mall

A 31-year-old woman tragically fell to her death on November 6, from a multi-story parking structure at Chamchuri Square, a prominent shopping centre on Phaya Thai Road in Bangkok’s Pathumwan district. The incident was reported to Pol. Sub-Lt. Nontacha Saengsom, Deputy Investigator of Pathumwan Police Station, who arrived at the scene with a forensic medical team from Police General Hospital, forensic specialists, and rescue volunteers.

 

The body of the deceased, identified as Ms. Phurichaya, was discovered behind the 14-story parking structure. She was lying on her back in a pool of blood, having sustained fatal head injuries.

 

A white bag, presumed to belong to Ms. Phurichaya, was found on the ninth floor of the parking structure. Inside the bag were personal identification items, including her ID card, bank books, a tablet, a mobile phone, and credit and ATM cards, which authorities have collected as evidence.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that a security guard was the first to discover the body and alerted other security personnel. A search of the building led them to Ms. Phurichaya’s belongings on the ninth floor, which is believed to be the location from which she fell.

 

Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage to gain a clearer understanding of the incident. The body has been transferred to the Police General Hospital’s forensic institute for an autopsy.
