The people that wanted to spend 100 trillion dollars to stop climate change, created the conditions for historic inflation and wanted you to buy overpriced toy cars is now worried about policy costing Americans money?

If tariffs are imposed and prices do go up for imports that is a sacrifice I am willing to make. The libs here are so very predictably already talking about avocados.

Assuming, arguendo, that Trump's tariffs will cost the consumer. Have you considered the alternative?

Stop other Countries sending cheap goods to the USA .

Get Americans to buy American made goods and that will boost the economy , stop buying cheap Chinese junk

They need to extend the Trump 2017 tax cuts that expire in 2025. Otherwise, it will be a tax increase on almost all taxpayers. If they can eliminate the tax on Social Security benefits, that would be good as well

Same as in OZ go to the biggest hardware store 90% is made in China apart from paint. But tariffs will end up being paid by locals as we know

Trump policies are inflationist:

- mass deportation will induce wage inflation, and hence price inflation,

- tariffs will create price inflation,

- tax cuts will stimulate demand and hence trigger inflation.

Don't won't to argue but you will be paying a higher price and companies will shut down, I know because we had the same problem in OZ

Does Australia actually produce anything other than uranium and bush meat? America has a much larger work force and a wide variety of natural resources.

Wheat, copper, gold, iron ore, coal, wine, natural gas, dairy. Bauxite, lead, tantalum, zinc. If you eat a crayfish/lobster on the west coast of America, odds are it came from Tasmania. Second biggest producer of macadamias. You import steel from us because it is cheaper than the stuff you make from the Mesabi range, even with freighting it across the Pacific. We are smelting hematite, 65% iron, you have to grind up taconite at 30% iron before it even gets to a blast furnace.

If it was not for us, you'd be begging the Chinese for rare earths and lithium. We have the world's richest deposits, although Mt. Weld and Yangibana  meaning nothing to you.

Classic American, abjectly ignorant of the world outside America.
