Has the Op tried going back to basics and giving himself a hand?

Why not offer him yours?

maybe just doing it when not really horny

I think that's what sex addicts do. Addicted to the sex act and/or addicted to the orgasm part, but not really in the mood.

Sounds like his variety of partners avoids that.

Op can still do everything normally, but without cumming?

That's a medical problem. He's not creaming for some reason (no manufacture of semen) or the penis is not pumping at climax (something wrong with the muscles or nerves).

Why do boring old men

use this forum  as an outlet to opine at length about their sexual prowess. Or the  lack of it

Maybe for the same reason that so many other expats seem determined to share their stories over and over ad naseum about the best bj ever, the best tits ever, the hottest babe ever, how long and way too many details of all their sexual prowess.

Hey congratulations...you got laid in pattaya...now how about realize that nobody cares.

I suspect if someone feels that way then they aren't doing it right.

So it's only the thought that counts? That's like putting together a 1,000-piece puzzle for 2 weeks and then finding out the last piece is missing at the end.

You obviously don't know very much on this topic. I suggest doing some reading on tantric yoga and some of the Hindu philosophy about sex and orgasm, you might learn something useful.

This is a particularly important topic for men over the age of 60 as we pay a very heavy price for an orgasm, and the health benefits of cutting down on the frequency of orgasms are enormous.

From a lot of posts on AN I suspect a lot of guys don't know how to do it right, like Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield.

If that's the same Phil Stanhope,he once bummed me at an office party.

If you read the OP his problem isn't impotence.

If you had read the definition of impotence I posted earlier for one of our elites, you'd know that the OP's problem falls within the definition.

Brain exercises and a few different sensitive lubes can help, but mostly it is in your way of cultivating sexual thoughts and temptations.

To much porn and jerking off can be harming your sex life.

Cock ring is a great tool as well to feel more sensation, as well sex games with your partner.

Everyone have their kink

It might be a mental thing for a female, but for men it's purely mechanical, however it's wrapped.

No. A common saying is that your sexiest organ is your brain. Most obviously, that's why watching porno, and specific activities, works better than not watching it during the same "mechanical" activity. The thoughts and emotions become ever more important with age as physical abilities decline for all the usual reasons. Teenagers don't need many--a good thing, as they don't have many anyway. We all wish we could be teenagers again knowing what we know now.

I don't know, guys who have sex a lot can get jaded with it, just go through the motions

Why not just not worry about not being able to do what you once could, which probably wasn't all that healthy, and might have been no more than a bad habit which should have been replaced long ago, perhaps with a different pastime, such as reading serious literature and the discussion of same with your GF/Wife, or perfecting an even more solitary pursuit, such as water colors, like those two great artists, Monet and Manet?

But the question remains why are they doing it? Mentally addicted to the act or the thrill of the encounter when in fact the body isn't really there for it?

Perhaps. But is that medical science or just bro science?

Others may argue that it enhances sexual fantasy and mental stimulation through visual input, which can positively influence the psychological aspects of real sexual experiences.

What is the heavy price you pay for having an orgasm after 60? I would say it's the opposite: If you don't use it you lose it.

And what are the enormous health benefits of cutting down on orgasms? Is that medically documented?

Funny you ask, if you slightly interested in sex and health, you pick up something once and awhile. To much porn do something about your dopamin levels, which again can lead to problems in your normal sex life with a partner.

Yes, there is such a thing as masturbating too much, as well as masturbating with a technique that can affect your level of penile sensitivity during sex. Floating around the internet as “death grip syndrome,” this condition is controversial. Research has found that this may affect penis sensitivity.

I do believe too much sex of any kind (real, porn, masturbation, etc) can result in over saturation and make it more difficult to reach orgasm.

All this stuff you are talking about are all sideshows from the real issue. They may be real issues for some people, but unlikely to be an issue for someone who is functioning normally in every other way.

So if you normally ejaculate between 1-3 times per day, and then reduce that to once every 3 days then that will probably fix most of ones problems with being able to ejaculate.

You can forget about death grip too much porn and all that stuff. That's not the problem. If somebody can masturbate to porn or masturbate to anything and still reach orgasm then they don't have a real problem.

As I said, I think it's an issue of frequency. If somebody can still get normal erection, still feels aroused, and still enjoys sex, but simply can't cum without a lot of difficulty, then most likely it's just an issue of frequency.

So the bigger question is this. If somebody is used to having sex and/or reaching orgasm 1-3 times per day, and then they want to cut back on that to say once every three days, then how do they do it?

That is the bigger challenge, isn't it? Just like trying to cut down on over eating, drinking, cigarettes, weed or anything else that you are trying to reduce your dependence upon. That's why I mentioned sexual addiction earlier.

So how much chemicals (viagra, etc) were being taken during all those years? There was a 35 yrs old guy in Cambodia that would take it even when he didn't need it. 5 years later he needed it or he couldn't get up.

This topic isn’t about erectile dysfunction.

I must admit the sexual lifestyle of the OP has some allure.  I'm wondering if in his mind he still desires a certain type that he isn't able to attract in his older years?  Maybe having only brief sexual encounters isn't as satisfying as a longer term connection with a perfect sex partner.  I do enjoy pleasing a woman more as I get older.  But I do have expectations for the happy ending.  I will have to read up on the ill health effects of every other day ejaculation goals.  I thought this was good for the prostrate?   I never knew some people thought the 3rd door was gay.   According to many articles is on the rise with many couples.

Look at porn. They are not really getting off. It's mechanical, going through the motions. That's why guys in porn that can actually cum are so rare and sought after. A lot of time the money shot is faked. It's also why anybody but a handful of the best actors don't last long. They keep needing new talent that are actually enjoying themselves.

That's not the Op's problem though. He's still amped up, just says he can't squirt.
