Nenye Uche, Smollett’s lead attorney, said the original case should never have gone to trial, and that it would not have done so if his client was just a “regular Joe down the street.”

“This was a vindictive persecution. This was no prosecution,” Uche said.

“I’m sure Jussie would want an apology, but he’s a realistic man, right? He knows he’s not going to get it,” he added.

A truly great day for equality. Remember when all those rasist facialisms weere saying he should be locked up for making a mockery of the judicial system? Well he overcame it and is even a big enough man to not demand an apology from all of us.

Still serves as an inconvenient reminder to the left that white on black race crimes are so rare/nonexistent, that Smollett had to pay 2 Africans to racially abuse him.

It was basically the end of yet another false narrative from those arbiters of truth, the left.

I would not attach such lofty political sentiments. How about we just be real, and recognize that he was a mediocre actor who realized his career was tanking and he  engaged in an attempt to manipulate public opinion. It's a tactic that has long been used by that industry. He is a vile human being and hopefully, he is treated accordingly.
