Seems they somehow work hard to get a protected status here with all the news lately.. Always on maximum speaker volume if something happens to them but not the other way around of course. Rarely the full story.

 

This stuff is not gonna work in Thailand. Anyway hope the guy will be ok and the guy hitting gets his punishment anyway.

Sorry, but I really do not put much credence in the details of this story. Most Germans are not anti-jewish or have any hatred towards jews and will certainly not attack one in another country. 

 

To me the ethnicity of the Germans would be more important. As in my UK there is now a lot of far left ethnics with UK passports.

Well if he was alone not from speaking unless on a phone.

Hebrew or an Israeli accent is very easy to place.

Appearance? Believe it or not, even without wearing flags and such, Israelis are often easy to identify that way as well in a different way than visible Jews in general.

If the Germans were middle eastern origin, that much easier for them.

Googling this. I am seeing some international press is making a thing that the Israeli was an IDF soldier. The majority of Israelis are obligated to serve in the IDF in one way or another.

In recent weeks, concerns have been mounting over the safety of Israeli nationals in Southeast Asia, particularly after the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the UAE, which has potential links to terror plots targeting Israelis. Such incidents have amplified fears and resulted in calls for Israeli tourists to exercise enhanced caution and discretion in their travels.

 

For visitors, this means maintaining a low profile, avoiding overt expressions of Israeli identity, and abstaining from publicising travel plans or connections online. This proactive stance aims to shield tourists from becoming inadvertent targets of misplaced animosity.

I've read plenty of odd stuff on AN, but the "statements on Israel" to which @save the frogsrefers have to be among the weirdest.  The article to which he links (https://medium.com/the-judean-peoples-front/is-everything-about-israel-fake-51bf250b9dc9) is a REFUTATION of the "fake nation" claims.  The author of the linked article does an excellent job, so no need for me to comment futher on it.

 

I'll just say that if anyone thinks Israel is fake, try attacking its citizens.  You'll get a very real response.
