The cabinet has tasked the Finance Ministry with reevaluating the second phase of the digital wallet initiative. This scheme aims to provide a 10,000 baht cash benefit to roughly four million individuals over the age of 60 by January.

Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat revealed that Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra sought a more detailed legal review of the program. The updated findings will be resubmitted for the cabinet's consideration.

Julapun reassured that, despite the review, the distribution of cash benefits is still planned for January.
