Anyone who thinks Social Security and Medicare are going to be ended is delusional. The programs may change, but they are here to stay.

Will not end but it is the benefit cuts to Social Security and Medicare that sparked worries.

Probably time to put some of the old timers out on the pack ice so society can thrive.

I suspect that, between fraud, waste and other corruption, they can afford to keep us old geezers alive, if they weed even some of that out.

Personally, I'm looking forward to turning Musk and his AI resources loose to figure out where the money's actually being spent, and on what, and to whom.  And not just Medicare, Medicaid and SS.  Across, the board, including the military.

Up to now, the gub'ment IT guys have been eons behind the state of the art.  Probably as a deliberate strategy.  I'm hoping that ends with DOGE.

Do you not believe people should have a second chance?

I think the most used acronym in 2025 is FAFO … and the most used phrase will be “this is what you voted for”.

They’ll be interviewed on the TV vox pops lamenting “when Trump said that, I thought he meant others”.

There's your problem right there. You still watch TV.

What a laugh.

1/ In his last presidency, he milked $240 million from American taxpayers by playing golf on his properties, then having his secret service detail billeted on said properties at an average of $800,000 each time. He played golf over 300 times.

2/ The poor saps who depend on social security and food stamps, of course.

3/ RFK is an antivaxxer, and antifluoride crusader. You might trust a guy who says a worm ate his brain, I don't. Crazy as a bedbug.

Did you read that on Vox?

Perhaps you are not aware Trump plans to increase the military budget, by about $100 billion.

AI works the same way as any other computer. Garbage in, garbage out.

What if you're part of the extreme left ? There are those on the left and then there's the others.

Scary bunch.

Kind of similar to what went down with Biden right ?

I,remember quite vividly how adamant posters like you were about how tippy top Biden was. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Biden's a felon as well as a liar and a "grafter" [sic]?!

"...that proven liar, grafter and felon..."

You are right when you suggest that Trump is a grafter...much more honourable than being a grifter like Biden.

How?

Trump has been found guilty on 34 counts!

What has President Biden been found guilty of in a court of law?

He didn't say that they did!  He referenced the majority of those who did vote for Mr Trump.
