Is It Better to ‘Rent’ Companionship In Thailand Than to Commit?

It's a fascinating topic and I'm sure the variety of answers is going to be quite vast. Personally I get a lot of fulfillment and satisfaction out of a woman that I have been with for a long time, who I trust and who I can depend on, and who always seems to have my back, and vice versa. Granted after a certain period of time the sex is not all that, but there are some very creative workarounds to that situation here in Thailand. 

 

I know that at this stage of my life if things were to go south in my current relationship, I would stay single the rest of my life. And I would likely do short-term girlfriends, or short time massage or bar girls, or freelancers. That likely ends up being a lot cheaper In the long run.

All these various topics about paying for sex in Thailand versus not paying for it inevitably attract at least three or four geezers who proudly share fanciful stories about their amazing Thai girlfriends. I agree,if you have regular contact with a lady but are not living together after a while she will need a new model phone ,or her dad's  buffulo will die or her grandmother will fall out of a mango tree and is in need of a major operation and guess who will be asked for money ?? yes..you and if you refuse she won't come back...The old saying no money ..no honey. So it's really works out the same as if you were living together.

If you are a chang guy, stick to chang, but if you like fine wine, which I see a solid relationship as, and you enjoy the diversity of the qualities and aging, you stick to wine.

I'd like to suggest a change for those living in SEA ..........

Basically it is up to you, but all we see is just excuses for why some do not want to put the energy needed to succeed, and full of excuses for why they are who they are

I only put my energy into cycling ....... everything else, I prefer to buy while sitting on my sofa and posting on AN. I seem to have enough money to finance my preferred lifestyle so why not?

Im sure you are happy with that, and you have never complained about your status Q, so I respect that. Really! 

 

But there is so many who continously complaining, and make excuses for who they are, and what they do, when they really wanted to be something else, or do something else. If people want chage, they have to do the job themselves.
