White House was right: free speech and civil liberties in UK has never been more precarious
". Consider a four-year-old child suspended from nursery for alleged “abuse against sexual orientation and gender identity,” at an age when many children still identify more as dinosaurs than people" The above sentence says it all...Total madness...WHEN AND WHERE WILL IT STOP? The UK’s logged over 124,000 hate crimes from 2020-2021, many tied to online speech, and police have chased down "non-crime hate incidents" like Harry Miller’s 2019 transphobic tweet saga—ruled unlawful later, but still a hassle. Then there’s the Public Order Bill and buffer zones around abortion clinics, where even silent prayer’s landed folks like Isabel Vaughan-Spruce in cuffs............... -

Trump Starts Global Tariff Wall, Thailand Hit with 36% Tax
Not sure where this is going to end up. I believe Trump was attempting to use Tariffs to get countries to the bargaining table. Ones that didn't want to work a deal he viewed as acceptable would face tariffs. The countries viewed it that the outrage from its citizens if they accepted a deal like the US has been accepting from other countries for years. Everyone will feel some pain. Countries with stronger economies will probably come out better off in the end. The challenges that Tariffs place on other countries economies will probably be impactful. I understand Trump wants to work deals that are advantageous for the US and will accept no less than what he views as a fair deal. If you view someone as having an unfair competitive advantage then you want to level the playing field. -

He's not cured it yet, but he has a plan (some would say it's brilliant), to use bleach and bright lights! -

Ah, OK. I was responding to your final point which was about the present. (" I understand that there's only one other officially approved full-service that is only contactable via the Facebook platform. It's called "xxxx" sending machine (I forget the guy's name, hence the xxxx)."
