About 50% of the time, a link I post is dismissed by the person asking for it as Western propaganda. I have stopped feeding trolls for that reason.

What did your last slave die of? If you are too lazy to check for yourself, who put me at your beck and call?

That's is true, I take most links with a pinch of salt.

I did look, but as i said  only got links to Russian war shop allegedly sunk in 2023 and it was CNN, so ignored it

I have to say people really need to stop this.....oh it was on Fox News so I didn't watch to it.....or.... oh the BBC....bunch of communists, not going to watch that.

I regularly read newspapers like the Daily Express and the Guardian.....it's important to what is happening in every branch of the media.

The tail of the plane does positively show it was shot down.  Russia bombers were very active in that area busy launching some of the 70+ missiles at  Ukraine  on xmas.  Ukraine drones were also in the air in that area heading for attacks.  Most likely Russian AA shot it down but what does it matter?  Fly in a war zone at your own risk.   The video of dazed survivors coming out of the intact tail section that broke off and was thrown distant from the fuel and fire.   Take that first and business class!    In my opinion Russia is close to the breaking point.  So Trump will have some bargaining power to help Ukraine.  But Putin won't stop with his current gains so no peace deal can be acceptable to any half sane person of history.    And yes Russian lives don't mean much and they are cleaning out all the bins of despot males, special needs , and alkie babies.

For anyone wanting to learn more about the war I suggest following the military analyst.  He is a dual US/UK advisor in high places who gets called to attend government meetings.  I found him on the but he is now posting on bluesky as well as this page.   He is quite an educated historian who despises Russia for many reasons.  https://themilitaryanalyst.com/

Two of those ships were made to navigate rivers and not seas.

They were not build to withstand heavy waves,so they broke.

And your verifiable source is?

It's common knowledge all over the web if you have been following this war at the proper sources.    That sea is shallow and is know to be deadly when certain storm conditions hit but Putin so desperate for oil sales he has all these old ships in his shadow fleet and they got in conditions the ships were not made for.  Did you watch the video of the waves before the first ship broke up?   Also Russia as of 1 day ago hadn't sent any cleanup help to the shoreline  areas it's been all volunteers bagging the thick gunk. Supposedly the oil has penetrated 30-60 cm deep in the sand in some places.

why would I let you off the hook that easily and put you on ignore?

Some speculation that the Azerbaijan Airlines crash was due to a Russian missile/drone.

That is not speculation .I saw the evidence on the news last night..holes in the fuselage of the crashed plane.

From what I heard from Russians, is that many Russians see that not as big as a problem like Americans see it when American soldiers die in wars. For many Russians that seems to be just part of life. I can't verily how true this is.

It's part of Russian life. The rich and influential get to go to Thailand. The peasants get to go to the Ukrainian front. You're obviously interacting with the rich and influential who really don't care about the peasants.

After the initial invasion there were interviews with Russian soldiers that couldn't believe the Ukrainian farmers had running water and toilets in their houses... They had none of that back home.

Is what starting?

Which 3? There is only 1in a quick search. the crew have said there were 3 explosions, the owners have said a terrorist attack.

Two tankers and a crane barge have foundered in the Black Sea and Sea of Asov. These were old (50 years+) river vessels which economic constraints/sanctions had led Russia to attempt to use in open waters, with which they were unable to cope.

A more modern Russian cargo ship has sunk in the Western Mediterranean. This vessel was en route from Saint Petersburg to Vladivostok via Suez. For the previous couple of years it had shuttled between the Russian Baltic ports and Syria. Because it was Russian flagged and  sailing between Russian controlled ports it had not been subject to effective inspections for seaworthiness; it's sinking is suspected to be due to a catastrophic engine failure and lack of "damage control " equipment and procedures.

Didn't the Yanks wipe out a whole section of bridge recently killing some bridge workers and blocking a harbour?

it wasn't the Yanks that did this it was a cargo ship that went out of control

We should give him a chance. After all, and sorry this will trigger some, but his record at ending "unwinnable" wars is incredible. Remember ISIS, they were so unbeatable Obama told us not to call them ISIS they want to be called Daesh the poor little diddumses. Trump ended them in about a day and we never heard about them again.

Same same with the middle east, Trump ended the wars in about the same time it takes to run a bath. Abraham accords? He shoots, he scores. NKorea too. All classic unwinnable wars ended by DJT in hours. What a legend no wonder he triggers establishment shills. Muh Lockheed Martin and Raytheon shares going down again !$%^🤣🤣

I suspect Trump will end the Ukraine Russia war in a few days. The left will tilt their heads to the sky and scream, and Ukraine will go back to being the worlds most corrupt country with a major Nazi problem.

Yeah, he negotiated to end the US presence in Afghanistan - who lost therer? the Afghani's in my opinion as they quickly returmed to the stone age.  But, Ukraine says they want to end the war now too - especially after talking with Trump ...

There you go attacking people's intelligence again. You're so bitter and defensive. I feel sorry for you a little. Then it goes away when I remember how mean you are so often on here.

I heard it from Konstantin Kisin, who grew up in Russia and moved with his parents to the UK when he was young.

I don't agree with Isreal either, having met many, they don't paimt a good picture of themselves.  it seems to me they have Totol control of the US gov and through lobbyists and possible Epstein blackmail, they can do what they like knowing they have full backing (total control of the UK too) IMO

You get funnier with every day...............:clap2:

Here is a screenshot of the tail.

Screenshot_20241226_080411_Telegram.jpg

The Azerbaijan Airlines plane was shot, most probably by anti-aircraft fire.  If you look carefully at the pictures that are available, the hole damage is from the outside going in.  This debunks the suggestions that there was an internal explosion, or that one of the engines fragmented (the holes are in the tail, a long distance from the engines).

So, I conclude that the airliner was a friendly-fire incident (even though it was around 600 miles east of any position reached by Ukrainian drones to date).

With regard to the safety of the Russian shadow fleet of tankers, there are several salient characteristics to be understood:

  • Older Ships: Many of the vessels in the shadow fleet are older and may not meet modern safety or environmental standards. These ships were often built in the 1990s or early 2000s and are generally less efficient or less reliable than newer, more modern tankers. Their age and condition can make them less seaworthy, and they may require more maintenance or face higher risks of mechanical failure.

  • Unseaworthiness: Some of these vessels are indeed considered unseaworthy by international standards. They may lack the necessary safety certifications or be in poor condition due to limited maintenance and the difficulty in accessing quality spare parts. Because these ships are often banned from international markets, their operations are confined to specific regions or routes, where they can operate with less oversight.

  • Uninsured: Due to the sanctions and the reluctance of major global insurers to cover Russian vessels, many of these ships sail without proper insurance. This poses significant risks in case of accidents, spills, or other incidents, as the owners or operators may not have the financial backing to cover potential damages.

  • Flagging: To evade detection and inspection, many of these vessels change their flags regularly. They might register under countries with more lenient regulations, known as "flags of convenience" (e.g., Liberia, Panama, or smaller nations with fewer maritime regulations). Some vessels also operate under "ghost flags," where the ship may not have a registered flag at all or might falsely display a different nationality to avoid scrutiny.

Just bringing some facts to the discussion.

Agree. You can post facts until doomsday, and they are ignored as an inconvenience. Usually, it is trolls.

Off topic, the thread is about how the domestic aircraft system is falling apart, and shipping.

Putin's support would melt away if he starts conscription in Moscow and St. Petersburg, why do you think he is importing North Korean soldiers?

Google " Bolivar Maru"

Any ship can break in half if it is overloaded and gets hit by a large wave, especially if it is quite old, and poorly maintained.

Since welding replaced riveting due to the faster speed of construction, there have been some hull failures due to poor quality control of welds.

Breaking metal can sound like an explosion. Also seems likely that rats putin would rather blame "terrorists" then bad (no) maintenance..
