Gang Attacks Man at Pattaya Apartments, Resulting in Fatality

In the early hours of 31 December, at approximately 00:10, authorities in Pattaya were alerted to a violent altercation at an apartment complex on Sukhumvit Soi 31, Naklua, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The distress call, received by the Sawang Boriboon Pattaya Rescue Centre, reported an assault that left one man unconscious. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a crowd gathered at the scene. Officials secured the area before attempting to save the victim, identified as Mr. Thaworn, aged 53. Despite resuscitation efforts, Mr. Thaworn succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to hospital. According to Mrs. Prapai, 50, the wife of the deceased, the incident began when her husband was collecting monthly rent from tenants. When he reached Room 108, rented by a woman who had moved in on 10 December, a disagreement ensued. As per apartment regulations, tenants are required to pay a full month's rent. However, the female tenant protested, arguing against the rule. Despite Mr. Thaworn's attempts to explain the policy, the argument escalated, and the woman called for reinforcements. Within minutes, two pickup trucks carrying over ten individuals arrived. The group immediately attacked Mr. Thaworn without any discussion. Mrs. Prapai, who tried to intervene, was also struck in the back during the assault. In a heartfelt plea, Mrs. Prapai called on the perpetrators to take responsibility for their actions, vowing to pursue justice to the fullest extent. Police from the Bang Lamung station are investigating the case. Officers are gathering evidence, including witness statements, CCTV footage, and videos recorded by bystanders. -- 2025-01-01 -

It seems it is the habit of many Thai technicians to come at least with two people and then they roam around. Often one of them has nothing better to do then look here at little and there a little. And then some of them pick up this item, and that item, ... Most of the time this seems to be harmless, but I hate it. So, whenever anybody comes, I make sure I am not alone, and my gf also has a look at them. And if anybody picks up anything not related to their work, we make it very fast very clear to them that they shouldn't do that. I don't know how common it is that things get stolen, it is definitely very common that they look around and want to touch a lot of things. Until now I was lucky enough that nothing was stolen. But then, I also made sure nothing valuable is just for grab. -

In the first link below is a useful reference that demonstrates the volatility of forex pairs and uses USD/GBP as an example. Volatility in FOREX is the measurement of risk and the degree to which the prices of the pair vary over time and can be measured over any period. As you can see from the example, USD/GBP volatility averages almost 7% per year, volatility over a seven day period averages around 6%. That means that the quoted price may be up to 6% over or under the average price, at any point in time. There's a second link below that explains trend, which will be useful for some to understand. One quote that's worth repeating is, " The conventional wisdom among traders is that "the trend is your friend." There should be an immediate return to visa restictions placed on Indian passengers, back to 14 days. Quality over quantity is what Thailand needs at this moment.
