As the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, the world bid adieu to Generation Alpha and warmly embraced the arrival of Generation Beta. With the final wave of Alphas born just as 2024 closed, a new era began with the birth of the first Betas on 1 January 2025.

Generation Alpha, born between 2010 and 2024, navigated through a landscape marked by rapid technological advancements and major global events. Their upbringing, set against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic and the emergence of artificial intelligence, has left a distinctive imprint on society.

Looking forward, Generation Beta, comprising individuals born from 2025 to 2039, enters a transformed world. Raised by the tech-savvy Millennials and Generation Z—collectively known as Zennials—these children will grow in an environment where AI is pervasive. Experts anticipate a future where over 90% of online content will be AI-generated by 2026, and by 2050, half the global population may reside in hyper-inclusive, AI-enhanced cities.

Unlike any before them, Generation Beta stands to inherit a society deeply rooted in celebrating diversity. The foundational shifts driven by Millennials and Gen Z have normalised the acceptance of varied ethnicities, sexual orientations, and lifestyles. For Betas, inclusivity will be as natural as breathing.

Moreover, with parents attuned to the nuances of digital safety, Generation Beta will have an inherent grasp of online security, supported by evolving platforms prioritising these concerns. As digital natives, they are set to redefine prosperity in an intricately connected and AI-oriented world.

Indeed, with the farewell to Generation Alpha, the stage is set for the Betas to embark on their journey, equipped to navigate and shape an exciting future.

They try to paint a pretty picture but in fact the newer generations are borderline insane and their kids are even worse. Nothing inclusive in these latest generations... inventors of cancel culture rise!

I would argue just part of an immense 'business' plan dating back decades. I mean, things just don't happen by chance. Nothing this big anyway.

The intent is to fade out the so called useless eaters. Everything's going A.I. anyhow right? Who needs humans?

Gen X or older with half a brain cell can see how things have shifted for the worse in the last 25 yrs or so, but particularly since 9Eleven and Corvid. We are this close to transhumanism.

With any luck I'll be long dead by 2050. No nightmarish 'hyper-inclusive A.I.-enhanced' cities for this guy!

Cheers buddy

Sounds dystopian to me but I'm just an old fart who finds it disturbing that people, even young kids, bury their heads in their iPhone and have little to no personal interactions with another person. AI cities seem like something to avoid.

Why is there any need to label generations and who decides on those labels?
When people talk about generation ?? I have no idea who they are referring to and I cannot be bothered to find out.

^^^^^ This

Society today seems to love labels which can then be used to insult the labelled group.  It's entertaining to frustrating when fools then apply their own definitions to those labels and insult the group the label applies.  It makes intelligent conversation extremely difficult.
