Is Earth round or flat❓
"Einsteinian mechanics" being just another abstract construct… Do our senses and instinctive common sense matter this little? If you had grown up not knowing anything about the current doxa (such as in an isolated community not subjected to modern education) and someone asked you whether the Earth is still or in motion, what do you think your answer would be, based on your own perceptions and observations? Likewise, if they asked you whether we move around the Sun or the Sun moves around us, what do you think your answer would be? -

Yesterday I ate at Fuji after a long time of not eating there. Who gets the 10%? Waiters?
I don't know what happens in Fuji per se, but in most restaurants the service charge is divided up equally amongst all the staff from service staff to chefs to kitchen hands to dishwashers to manager etc. -

I apologise if anything I say has already been covered (I only read the 8 first pages). I know there are cases of innocent farangs being framed, etc. However, if the police have charged him with reckless driving, it is likely that eye witnesses testified that he was indeed driving recklessly. The fact that he got down on his knees and waied exaggeratingly (a very unnatural thing to do for a farang) indicates, IMO, that he knows (or someone told him) that this will likely induce sympathy and reduce his sentence. I am speculating here, perhaps I am wrong, but my initial impression is that this guy screwed up by driving recklessly and is now trying his best to avoid jail. I also speculate that some money arrangement could be taking place behind the scenes with the family and/or police to drop the case. Was he wearing a helmet? -

Where is the best place to buy pork loin for roasting in oven?
Important Update: Robust Chicken-breast Collagen Issue has now been solved....! a. As you know, even after using a variety of roasting methods, the local retailer where I purchased the many kilos of chicken-breasts, ....seems to have provided me with birds that are not fit for roasting. b. I had become frustrated and disappointed. c. After roasting, no matter what I tried.... d. The roasted-result was like chewing on a rubber Dog-Toy. e. I was just about to chuck out the bags of breasts when....I decided to give it one last, final, College-Try. f. So..... g. I took out my slow-cooker, which also has a HI-setting that can boil. h. I filled the cooker up to the brim with breasts. i. I turned the cooker to HI, and boiled them for about 45 minutes. j. Next, I set the cooker to LOW. And I cooked, and I cooked, for about NINE hours, until 12:33 AM, this morning. k. Happy to Report: I poked one breast with a fork, and the thing just completely fell apart, so soft and tender was it. l. This means that there is no need to chuck the breasts. I can keep them in my freezer, and just enjoy chicken soup...whenever..... m. One more thing of importance: I added about 4 inches of ginger to the soup. And, it tastes GREAT! ======================= I am not much of a soup lover. I prefer roast meat, same as Tom Jones. So, in the future, i will never again attempt roast chicken in Thailand. Instead, I will always opt for roasting either Pork or Suckling Lamb. ================= Thank you for the info about Tops. I will use Tops, in the future. Tops is one of the best retailer for food in my area. I have known the manager of one of the Tops stores for over a decade. Such a very thoughtful, kind, and helpful person is he.... And, it's nice for me, too, to have at least one friend in Chiang Mai. I am feeling better now about my breasts...because..... All is well that ends well. And, in addition, it's just so nice to start out the New Year on the right foot. ============= More later about the Pork sourcing issue, on January 15th....hopefully....
