Bangkok’s PM2.5 Pollution Lands Politician’s Father in ICU
Bangkok’s PM2.5 Pollution Lands Politician’s Father in ICU Suchatvee Suwansawat, deputy leader of the Democrat Party, shared how PM2.5 air pollution severely impacted his father, who was hospitalized with bronchial inflammation, respiratory issues, and carbon dioxide buildup after daily exposure during morning exercises. The pollution has also affected his children, highlighting the pervasive health threat it poses to Bangkok residents. Bangkok, often ranking among the world's most polluted cities, recently faced severe smog due to farmland burning and stagnant air masses. Authorities warn that pollution levels are expected to rise further due to cold air trapping pollutants. -

Tourists Detained After Vaping Mid-Air on Nok Air Flight
It's a federal offense, but you get a fine for it. No jail time. It's not a felony. -

Grab and Food Panda Blocking (some or all?) Thai bank debit cards
Not allowed on foodpanda. Unless it is in a Thai national's name. Using it for 7-11 deliveries, either paying first or they scan it after arriving is no problem, them scanning it in the 7-11 is no problem. Foodpanda says For Thai nationals only, select a different payment method. My True Money Wallet works without stored payment (its just linked to a Thai Credit Card). It works in 7-11 etc - though I've never tried it with FoodPanda So, I'm not sure if this is a 'Thai National thing' rather it might be related to having a Thai Credit card perhaps ? I'm surprised people are still using Food Panda - We had many issues with very slow delivery (in Bangkok) and stopped using them years ago. GRAB Delivery has all the same restaurants and many more - though browsing on the phone is a PITA if you prefer to browse on the bigger computer screen. Aslo - GRAB standards are slipping, and deliveries are getting slower as they economise (profit) and double up on delivery, so your order could be slower as its delivered on a 'route' rather than a dedicated delivery, unless you opt to pay more for Premium Delivery. -

New Regulation Bans E-cigarettes, Hookahs for Students
The following news article says that Thailand has a law, since 2014, that makes e-cigatettes illegal: https://aseannow.com/topic/1334318-vaping-troubles-british-tourists-warned-of-costly-holiday-mistake/?do=getNewComment And now the cabinet issues a regulation to ban students from using them. What a farce! -

Greenland
Posters of a certain ilk believe anything Trump says. Some of us think he engages mouth before brain ( sometimes brain is never engaged ), and don't think every word he utters is gospel. -

The taxi driver wasn't happy with my review.
Funny how "Bob" has become a term much like "Karen" in the real world to refer to deluded individuals hallucinating about being wronged.- 1

Does Trump completely lack decency and compassion?
You don't seem to understand climate change is not a boogeyman, it's real. Sea levels on the eastern seaboard of America have risen over the last decade by 6 inches. Australia has set records in its interior over the same time frame for heat cells. Over the last two decades, the average rate of melt from the Greenland ice cap has been 280 GIGATONS of ice loss. You think the behavior of insurance companies is confined to California? It's happening all over, check out the cost of flood insurance in Florida. They have entire departments dedicated to risk assessment. Trump is on record as offering the fossil fuel industry a free hand in return for a donation of $1 billion. He's part of the problem, not the solution. So are you. -

Panic at Pattaya Pet Hospital: Firefighters Launch Balcony Rescue
Panic at Pattaya Pet Hospital: Firefighters Launch Balcony Rescue Chaos erupted at Doctor Ja Animal Hospital in Pattaya when a fire broke out, trapping six people, including two children, on the third floor. Smoke quickly filled the building, causing panic among those inside. Firefighters arrived promptly and used a ladder to rescue all the stranded residents from the balcony. Witnesses described hearing screams for help as flames threatened to spread further. Despite the intense heat and thick smoke, emergency responders managed to control the fire before it could engulf the entire hospital. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the building sustained extensive damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though initial reports suggest an electrical short circuit may be responsible. Veterinarians and pet owners expressed relief that no animals were harmed, but several had to be relocated due to smoke inhalation risks. The incident highlights concerns about fire safety measures in commercial buildings across Pattaya. -

Woman's Motorbike Stolen Before First Payment After 4 Years of Saving
Please remember the "had diligently saved for four years to pay a 14,000 baht deposit" This sounds like any additional expenses would cause her child to Not go to school as that is paid 2 times a year depending on school. Better to pass the hat to motivate the Police a Reward if found in working condition. I'm not sure if it had red plate but I feel that spotlights you to opportunistic thieves that it's a new motorbike. More desirable and valuable when passed along. I do understand it is really difficult to get a replacement green book which makes it hard to transfer or sell.
