SiSePuede419 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Died last week? Two years ago a 48 year old British diving instructor died of "natural causes". Weird, huh. 🐒 The body of 48 year old diving instructor Neil Giblin, from Birmingham, UK, was found dead in his rented bungalow on the island after he failed to turn up to a diving lesson.

I wonder what the circumstances were in this particular case, typically you're diving with a buddy and you just don't hear about too many people at that relatively low level of diving skill dying from scuba. The well deserved reputation of Dark Tao continues. Hm, ...He was a free diver. and free diving brings risks, lots of ways dieing by free diving. And mostly without a buddy !! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freediving
claffey Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago There is an Irish charity that helps to repatriate bodies of Irish citizens. Any money left over often goes to the charity which is available for the Irish diaspora across the world. If this case is using the charity that's where the excess funds go. It's a wonderful charity which also highlights the community aspect of Ireland and it's citizens abroad. They often repatriate the bodies of people who have no family too. That's why they need extra funds. 1

Risks: Alleged corruption, lack of transparent investigations, and reports of accidents, murders, or suicides. Reality: The majority of visitors enjoy their stay safely, but the high-profile cases have led to its ominous nickname. I think it's the "unsolved murders" thing that upsets people. Every island in the world has people die, including tourists in weird deaths in their hotel rooms, etc. It would be strange if no one ever died on an island. I'm guessing Port Moresby on PNG is much, much more dangerous than KT. ☠️ 1

Good diving there. And, probably, much safer. The Caribbean is also a very nice place to visit and dive. Better than Thailand, by far, just IMHO. Virgin Islands, for example. The life on koh tao is much, much nicer than it is on the Bahamas.

Maybe he was such a nice guy that he's binging Hannah Witheridge and David Miller and all the others back with him ? That’s a horrible comment to make. The young man’s family are suffering enough, I sincerely hope they don’t see your nasty comment, you should be ashamed of yourself. 1
