I guess next you will tell us that on 6th October Israelis and Palestinians lived peaceful together with equal rights and all that.

Yeah, sure, and then suddenly those bad Palestinians had this idea to kill Israelis out of the blue and without any provocation...

Your guess is wrong , no I will not be telling you that .

BTW , Gazans are not Israeli citizens so of course they do not have the same rights as Israeli citizens

This topic is not about the historical conflict but is about the war "al aqsa flood" that was started by Hamas with their massacre and invasion of Israel on Oct 7th 2023. The topic is about the current ceasefire of that war with regards to Trump.

So what is it? Is it Trump's deal or is it Biden's deal?

It's Biden's deal, proposed long ago.

Hezbollah got wrecked in Lebanon and Hamas panicked as they fantasised that Hezbollah could launch a counter-attack against Israel. As someone else put it, they realised that the cavalry wasn't coming.

What a lot of fools fail to calculate is that Trump said - you better do a deal before!!! I take office. He wanted a deal under the Biden Presidency.

No one is arguing that Trump's clarity wasn't useful. But it's still not his deal as what he demanded - the return of all hostages - is not happening.

AFAIC Trump knows this deal is a mess but if 33 hostages are released tomorrow he'll be delighted. And the Israeli right will be drowned out by the celebration. But Trump still has his finger on the trigger. The rest of the hostages better be released rapidly or Hamas will discover that what happened to Hezbollah was only a foretaste of what is to come.

Hamas can't possibly release the hostages. If they do there is no reason not to kill all of them after that happens. As far as the prisoners being released go it actually works out. They can join Hamas and then Israel can kill all of them. No way does Hamas honor this, it would be their death warrant.

Israel will sign agreements and adhere to those agreements , as they have done previously

Hamas won't. It can't. It is a terrorist organization trying to find a future. There is no future for terrorist organizations. It is the same as any other hostage situation you try to get the hostages out and promise whatever it takes. As soon as the hostages are safe it's game over for the hostage taker. Suddenly they don't bring you water and sandwiches and you end up dead or in prison. Simple as that.

The deal involves giving a 2 year old baby back to its Parents

Palestinians will be handing back a baby that they have been holding for 15 months .

Palestinians will not even let the Parents know whether they baby is dead or alive .

They don't know whether their baby will be dead or alive .

That is the people whom you are dealing with .

Inhumane .

A subspecies, IMO

Using the word "subspecies" to describe a people (Palestinians) - a term from the Nazi era - is hate speech and unlawful in any Western democracy and totally inappropriate for this forum

It has already been reported that Hamas are rebuilding their "fighters" to replace those killed and seriously injured. Unless Israel and a Palestinian led group can reach a diplomatic solution and Palestinian enforcement capability there will be ongoing killing and destruction. Personally I believe a Two State solution is now unachievable (700,000 Israelis in the West Bank), obviously requires a strategic revaluation to finally have a pathway for lasting peace. Perhaps ceding Area C to the Israelis - Realpolitik.

Israel will be back to leveling the rest of Gaza in no time flat.  Guaranteed.

Actually not illegal in all Western democracies. The US, as least, affords its citizens has very strong right of free speech, thanks to the  1st Amendment. But your main point is correct. The opinion voiced by Nick Carter would be unremarkable if voiced by a Nazi. And, unfortunately, not at all uncommon nowadays among Israelis. Even before the Oct 7 massacre.

Hamas have already stated they are proud of Oct 7th and are going to do it again. They stated that just after the ink dried on the ceasefire agreement they signed. There is no diplomatic solution with them around.

I was referring to the people who took  the baby hostage for over 1 year and the baby hostage takers who won't even tell the Parents whether their baby is still live or whether the baby is dead .

They've agreed to give the baby back and they are deliberately causing the Parents more stress by not revealing the baby's condition .

   That is inhumane behaviour

Would be interesting to hear from some Arabs who choose to live in Israel and have been granted Israeli citizenship.  There are a bunch of them.

I recall an article in which guy of Arab descent who lived in the West Bank described his ability to travel back and forth and throughout Israel conducting business with Israelis.  He evidently was quite happy with his success.

Any difficulties Gazans have are the result of the demands imposed by Hamas requiring them to live under Hamas's constitution which calls for the destruction of Israel.  They are obliged to support Hamas' atrocities.  There are consequences for those that don't.

20 percent of Israeli citizens are Arabs.

They could choose to give up their Israeli citizenship but don't.

Im sure their reasons is good, and you can ask yourself why so many jews decided to work for Nazi Germany, and also joined their armed forces.

"But now, some of those who praised Trump in both Israel and the United States are trashing the hostage deal he is championing as he reenters office — and in some cases, they’re criticizing Trump himself.

The wariness comes after reports that Trump and his incoming Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, turned the screws on Netanyahu to get him to say yes to the ceasefire deal. Upon the deal’s announcement, Trump called it “EPIC.”

Alongside Malka, a user on X named Nioh Berg, who has 185,000 followers and identifies as “Anti Woke,” has spent the past couple of days railing against the incoming president she only recently adulated."

One person on Social Media is not many. So as usual, your title is misleading.

Secondly, its not only the "right" who oppose the deal, its also Liberal Democrat Trump supporters such as myself who feel that more Hamas terrorists need to be killed first.

I have noticed a reoccurring theme here .

A bunch of people who support a group who attempted a genocide of Jews on Oct 7th......................keep going on about Nazis .

People who support the Palestinians in their attempts at eradicating Isreali Jews..........................keep mentioning Nazis

There is probably a lot going on behind the scenes .

Israel and the USA may be planning to attack Iran and then it would be important for there to be no hostages in Gaza .

Like there are consequences for Jews which in public accuse Israel of war crimes.

They have more right than in most muslim countries, especially females and gay people. Yet the loonies still call it an apartheid state. Arabs have been in government and a muslim was in the Israeli football team.

Of course Trump is going to claim credit for the deal, but did he have anything whatsoever to do with this deal? Did he have any hand in the negotiation of this deal?

I don't like Trump, I think that much is clear by now but a ceasefire deal was the right thing to do, and whatever it took to get Israel to stop the massacre was a good thing.

Trump wants to be seen as the deal-maker. Do the details of any deal really matter? Who looks at the details?

And additionally, what if Israel would not follow what they agreed to? Any sanctions from the USA? Of course not. So, what does it really matter what they sign? Israel will continue to do whatever they want, and the USA will let them do whatever they want.

quite sure you are correct, Israel does not a record of keeping/respecting agreements

That's not surprising because there are no consequences apart from maybe a few words like "you shouldn't do that".
