correct but there are some rules. for example if he owns the company 49% he can be only in position of adviser or marketing. plus company must sell abroad. also farang cannot help any work such as making furniture and sell. he can do the selling part but cannot do the making part. if a foreigner do a work it means thai national not qualified for the position so the company needs a foreigner. Also street selling is 100% forbidden to farangs. also making a hamburger dont need a foreigner cook.

so most likely hes doing this illegal and im so surprised no IMM checked him. he even has tiktok. and he sells ramkhankeng area near the university.

i dont know maybe he has some kind of permit or maybe hes thai citizen.

I meant the wife owns 100%

nope again she needs to hire you for a special position. for example open a tutor and hire a foreigner to teach english. and again street food is 100% forbidden to farangs. he needs thai citizenship to do it. so maybe he has.. i dont know

there are several scenarios that could explain that situation:

1- farang-looking Thai person. there are some Thais who look like farangs, usually because of one or more farang ancestors. sometimes white skin and farang facial features are very pronounced. everyone is surprised the person is Thai by birth.

2- parent of a Thai child: as referenced earlier in the thread, he could be the father of a Thai child. I knew of a situation before where the Thai mother was an orphan, and then she died, leaving the father as a sole guardian of the child and the sole source of revenue. I'm pretty confident that in this situation, IMM would look the other way.

3- and of course, if that person has acquired Thai citizenship

Yep.. nice explanations. Maybe he is half thai.

But his thai is really low level. Can speak only about hamburger.

His stand's name is Scotts hamburger

Anyway if he is doing this plus having tiktok.. like you said he has permission to do or likewise..

Im interested with this one because i want to do some furniture or something like that too..

That's obvious.  Did you not think to ask him maybe while buying a cheeseburger?
