Maybe you were just a crappy customer with too many returns. I still have it

I've never returned anything, and by the same token, never had a need to complain.

What is the point of anything ?

Comes down to personal preference, nothing more, nothing less.

Then try another seller. Some sellers may have turned off this option as they don't want to deal with customers who refuse delivery

I stopped using lazada a couple of months now and just using shopee. I always paid with thai bank card but it had some other issue come up that has been a topic of discussion here a few months ago.

Would like to sort it out but it was quite a confusing pain in the ass to get my head around it from memory.

It is not all cake and egg with Lazada, I regularly order some things there but if an item is returned it is difficult to get your money back, yes I know you get it in your ‘Wallet’ but the strange thing is that you cannot use that credit on a subsequent order.

Another problem is, which applies to me now, you order something and 10 days later it is cancelled without giving any reason, then you can order it again, and again after 10 days it is cancelled again, have ordered it for the third time now, but I can't exactly call it customer-friendly.

I used the cash on delivery method for about a decade, lost the ability to pay cash on delivery about 2 months ago.

Bye Bye Lazada.

COD is still available on Lazada. Certain suppliers won't accept it, but that's their decision, not Lazadas.

But why use it anyways? COD is for Luddites who can't accept that the 21st century exists.

Bye Bye Lazada.

Do you open the packages and inspect?  Seems like an inefficient process.  Wouldn't be surprised if it doubled the delivery cost.

Watch my wife do it and think it is an incredible waste of time. Hmmm, maybe something more sinister going on with theses delivery chaps.

Move with the times

Why are they changing things, not only Lazada  Everything was/is perfectly working fine the way it was and some Luckily still are  working fine

It's stupid and more scammable then  a OTP for payment.

It seems sometimes there are new regulations so they have to change things.

And maybe they have more problems with some payment methods.

Businesses, especially on the internet, have to adjust. Or they die.

Move with tech or you'll be left behind. Using App QR code payment is really easy

Bye Bye Lazada.

I still pay Lazada COD with no problems.

the seller has no say in finance except they can opt out of cod.  The seller also has no say in shipping providers unless they opt out of lazada shipping.

Okay, so this means that some options are available for some sellers and not others, for reasons they don't control. I distinctly recall being able to pay with Kasikorn mobile banking for some items, and the option being unavailable for others (but other banks being available).

As far as I know you can't open the box and check the details before you pay.

Wasn't there a post a week or so back which said that you CAN now open the parcel and see the contents before COD.

Until now I paid my Lazada shopping with my SCB banking app. Now it seems that is not possible anymore.

Luckily, I could still pay with that app in Shopee.

I really DO NOT see anything "lucky" about it.

I am luckier, if luck is the word, to choose Amazon for shopping, instead.

Shopping on Lazada was never my LUCKY DAY....

So basically, the only thing you know is that you received a box and then you pay.

And I guess it is a lot more hassle to claim cash payment back later.

I received already a couple of refunds without problems with other payment methods.

My wife informs me that it is now legally mandated to be able to open a COD package  to verify content before payment due to the volume of bogus delivery attempts.

Two edged sword sort of thing. Before an unopened COD package could be refused before payment and the courier was obliged to return it. Now ( I believe) any item can be verified and then refused if incorrect. "Change of mind" is a tricky question.

Fee-less payment by QR is still available for COD .

Wow! I've been successfully using a credit card for months now, haven't bothered with SCB transfer (which DID work seamlessly).

Just now ordered something and saw this:

"Bank transfer and online banking services have been discontinued. Please switch to mobile banking or PromptPay. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Sh!t.

I use a US credit card without any problems.
