Needless to say - he did a runner and he would still be running if his health hadn't taken a turn for the worse and he had to go to the hospital.

Kamnan Poh didn't run anywhere, he was living in plain sight in Chonburi.

Much like Boss Red Bull was doing up until 2017.

A car is nothing is nothing more than a piece of metal and not worth chasing someone down over.

This guy should be sent to prison for the rest of his life, but seeing he's coming from a wealthy family I’m sure justice won’t be served.

Thailand is not the land of smiles, it is the anger land

Their suppressed emotions are released when they are driving.

You see the real Thais out on the roads.

I've been driving a car in Bangkok almost everyday for 20 yrs., and have never been hit by a motorbike. I also ride a motorbike and yeah, I've nicked a few mirrors, but never broke or damaged one. Btw, love your profile pic.

Same here, although I have a few years on you. I have never been hit by a bike. However, when riding, I've been bullied by cars multiple times every ride.

He will be hiding in a village somewhere soon, acquiring a new identity and paying off the victim’s family not to pursue. Thai justice continues.

If I had to live on 300 baht a day, you'd be able to see the nerve endings jutting out of my fingertips.

At the very least, that explains a lot of the difference in how we all handle money situations.

But this was about road rage wasn't it?  I mean it wasn't withholding payment or something.  I get it.   A person here earns 300 baht a day and someone tries to cheat them of 100 baht I might consider violence to collect.  But road rage?  Gotta just let it go.

for ordinary peope and bail would be out of the question....

What's your basis for your assertion that bail is out of the question for similar incidents fpr other people?

Fine him of everything he owns, if he has nothing order the sale of the family assets and give it to the widow.

Why should his uninvolved, innocent family be punished with that irrational penalty?

Bail is for when there is doubt to guilt.

No, it is not just for that.   No one is guilty until that has been proven in court; like it or not, he is innocent at the moment under Thai law (and also the laws of your own, and all other, countries).

I hate coming to Bangkok in the car, mainly because the motorcycles are a  public menace, the amount of times theyve hit my car is unbelievable, and off they go without a  care in the world leaving you with an expensive broken mirror or scrape down the side of your car from their sheer impatience

Yeah Ive read the story.......cue victim blaming, yawn

Driven in Bangkok for many years and I live near the accident scene. Only once in many years did a motorbike hit my mirror and he stopped.  No real damage. I find your version of stating motorbikes hit your cars often is either misleading or you are the most unlucky driver in Bangkok.  Yes there are a lot of motorbikes. Yes they pass on both sides of your car. But they do not collide with cars or mirrors often with the majority of drivers.

That's why there are so many accidents and dead people, they drive like saints, not.

They deserve nothing, she deserves everything.

His father owns the shop.

My car was 1 day old when a motorbike going the wrong way speeding  up Soi 6 put a dent & a large scratch on 2 door panels & the rear view mirror, so I can understand the frustration.

In saying that to chase the driver & bash into him was never an option.

If the BIB had always been enforcing the law this would not have happened as the motorbike drivers would be educated to maybe drive the correct way.

It will be interesting to see the outcome of this sad encounter
