I think she 'profits' by leaving him. She obviously hates him, (don't you watch the body language?), and her life must be a quite awful. Money isn't everything old Chap - or is it?

Ah, here's ANs resident retired body language expert.  You hate Trump so she must too.

Only people with lotsacash say things like that. I suppose you think the best things in life are free too?

If, and that's if, Melania and Donald have had a falling out, it just makes them the same as the rest of the 50% of married people that end up divorced, not the only married people on the planet to have a problem.

Seems that psychological syndrome I can't name is still affecting a few posters.

I guess the poster that gave me a sad emoji is one of those posters with the psychological syndrome I can't name. You know you are.

To be fair, I watched the rally and I wondered why all his family looked like they lost a pound and found a penny. I don't know why they looked so discomfited, but they should have been told to at least pretend to be happy he was POTUS, in public. The hat stopped me reading Melania's face.

Re Melania, all our resident soothsayers ( you know who you are ) were telling us in breathless posts that after Trump lost in 2000 Melania was going to leave him in a heartbeat. How did your predictions work out? :whistling:

Beat me to it on this what is a religious Church leader doing getting involved on politics on personal matters directed at the leader of the free world, shouldn't be allowed to wear the cloth.

Sooooo, just like most of our Thailand residing posters with their oh so young brides. Mine was 30 years younger than I ( she was 30 when she married me ), and didn't get rich off me, so not money.

TBL

1. "Only people with 'lotsacash' say things like that. I suppose you think the best things in life are free too? ".

Rubbish - it's obvious Melania hates him and she has 'lotsacash' anyway so what are you wittering about ? And with just a little money, some of the best things in life, ARE free.

2. "If, and that's if, Melania and Donald have had a falling out, it just makes them the same as the rest of the 50% of married people that end up divorced, not the only married people on the planet to have a problem".

What planet are you on TBL ? IF ? IF ? To any observer, it's quite obvious. She hate him and leads a miserable life, money or not !

3. "Seems that psychological syndrome I can't name is still affecting a few posters". The syndrome you can't name - is that common sense and maybe sanity too ? What a banal comment.

TBL I see you are a frequent and 'respected' Poster, but for me, you display the frivolity/inanity that does this place, IMHO, no credit at all.

There's the difference. You call it politics, , others call it humanity.

I have definite opinions on female clergy, lesbian or not, (which are formed by my Catholicism and not by mysogony or homophobia) but I do not presume to suggest that she "should not be allowed to wear the cloth". The Catholic Church does not say so, so perhaps for a MAGA enthusiast to say so is a bit presumptuous?

As for getting involved in politics, well the Episcopalian Church is a branch of the Anglican Church which was formed by Henry VIII (1534) in what was absolutely a political move. It was "codified" by Messrs Cranmer and Cromwell, who were nothing if not political! Bishops in that Church pushing politics from the pulpit is not exactly new - it is what they have done for  just short of 500 years!

Incidentally I rather agree with what she said,  as a moral rather than religious stance. I'm not quite so sure about the opportunity she took to  say it.

Is see the loony left are using the usual deflection strategy to get this thread off topic. This thread is nothing to do with Melania Trump. It's about a lesbian Bishop giving political woke sermon to a newly elected president.

It's about showing mercy to vulnerable people.

Humanity is fine but other than saying biologically there are 2 sexes male and female what else is there to complain about?  Nobody loses any rights a biological male gets male rights a biological female female rights.  JK Rowling agrees.
To keep the conversation towards Thailand, Thailand only put the birth gender on passports despite its acceptance of transgender people.
Certainly something that should not be politically dealt with by a religious leader.

Transgender children who think they're in danger because Trump is now president? Illegal immigrants committing crimes feeling threatened? Men no longer being able to compete in woman's sports feeling threatened? Someone who denies the biological fact that men are sperm producers and woman are egg producers feeling threatened? DEI appointments feeling threatened? Etc., etc., etc.

Obvious to whom? One has to be pretty clued up to interpret body language. There are apparently about 14 ways to get it wrong.

I read the great Allan Pease's book and even went to one of his shows, but I have just the basics, though I don't read her as hating him at all. At most just not affectionate any more and I know all about that myself.

My comment about lotsacash referred to "Money isn't everything old Chap - or is it?".

I can't name it because moderators have deleted posts for using it.

I see you are a frequent and 'respected' Poster, but for me, you display the frivolity/inanity that does this place, IMHO, no credit at all.

Thanks for that. It's true that I have attracted a few likes for my witterings, and almost as many insults.

If I post frivolous inanities it is because some posts are so ridiculous that they deserve to be mocked.

However, I reckon I post more serious posts to which I have given much thought than those that mock.

For those that do have a problem with my posts, the ignore function is available for them to use. I've got a lot on ignore myself.

They are criminals that put themselves in that position. Why do they deserve "mercy"? Mercy is for the innocent.

If that's what you thought her sermon eas about, listen again.
